A lovely, light and spacious chalet on the Somerset Levels; finished to a high standard with its own private wood-fired hot tub on the veranda overlooking fields. Gas heating and a wood burner. (see house rules for wood burner usage) TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED Check in and out times sometimes can be altered to your needs . Ask when booking . The location is a mile away from a pub and 1.5 from a local supermarket. It’s down a track and very secluded . Don’t expect suburbia. No TOWELS provided . This deluxe chalet is situated near the owners straw bale house and the whole project is powered by solar panels. It has its own PRIVATE, wood-fired hot tub.The water comes from a borehole situated on the land. This means there are NO chemicals used in the hot tub as the water is changed after each set of guests leave . The chalet is self-contained with everything you'll need for your stay - kitchen equipment, TV and DVD, bluetooth stereo. 12 miles from Glastonbury, 14 miles from Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole, 25 miles from Weston Super Mare, 30 miles from the beautiful Jurassic Coast West Bay and Bridport. Guests also have access to a tour of the off grid system and information on how it all works if they wish . Here on the edge of the Somerset levels there is a wealth of history and beautiful countryside to explore. The beautiful fishing harbor of West Bay is under an hour away as is the the seaside town of Weston Super Mare. Both these places are a lovely country drive from here. Glastonbury is 14 miles from here. The only convenient transport around here is your own car, legs or bike! The owner only wants satisfied guests so don`t be shy in asking for anything that might make your stay more enjoyable. Most things are possible.. We have a total of about 2.5 acres and can accommodate small events. There is an internet connection that is available inside and outside the chalet. Just ask when you are here . Most people visiting get a good 3 or 4 g connection with their phones . £10 extra for the internet . There is also a slide, Swing and other kids playground equipment for your kids to play on . These are also available to my two boys . Please note that the owner accepts no liability for any accidents that occur on his property. Belongings are left at the owners risk. We provide top quality bedding but NOT towels. Also please not that the hot tub is supplied with the wooden wood chest (see last photo) full of wood which is enough for 2-3 hot tubs. When this wood is used up a donation for further wood is asked . The hot tub takes 2.5 -3 hours to heat up from first lighting the fire . We also now have a WOOD FIRED SAUNA . This is not included in the booking price and is an ADDITIONAL COST of £10 pp . It’s a lovely sauna that’s in the middle of a round garden with shrubs and trees . Mention when booking if you wish to use the sauna . It should also be NOTED that the owner takes NO responsibility for any persons using the sauna. If you have a health condition or are unsure as to if a Sauna is safe for you to use please consult a doctor before booking the sauna . The sauna is built to a high standard and can be heated up within 30 minutes. If the chalet is booked for 6 or 7 people the extra beds are a sofa bed that folds out for 2 people in the living room . There is also a single futon bed for a 7th person if need be in the second bedroom . DOGS ARE AN EXTRA £15 A DAY . It’s not about the money , it’s so I can replace or fix before the next guests arrive . Children that sleep in a bed are charged for at the same rate as adults . (£35) night . DOGS NEED TO BE MENTIONED BEFORE BOOKING THEM IN . We have free range chickens roaming the land , so if your dog is likely to go for the chickens , best not to bring it . Well behaved dogs are welcome and each dog is CHARGED AT £20 a day . Also please not that the hot tub is supplied with the wooden wood chest (see last photo) full of wood which is enough for 2-3 hot tubs. If further wood is required , a donation is encouraged. The cleaning price takes in to account the cleaning and maintenance for the hot tub along with the cutting of wood for the hot tub fire .This takes over an hour each time the chalet is prepared for new arrivals . WE ALSO HAVE A BBQ . ALSO PLEASE NOTE THAT IF the chalet is booked for 6 -7people, the extra 2 folk have a bed settee that folds out in the living room . I also have a single futon bed that can be put in a bedroom or front room.. DOGS NEED TO BE MENTIONED BEFORE BOOKING THEM IN . Well behaved dogs are welcome . Ones that stay off the Furnature and out of the bedrooms . Dogs are not to be left alone in the chalet .Each dog is CHARGED AT £15 a day . DUE TO A SPATE OF UNRULY DOGS ...If you can’t control your dog , don’t bring it .
