Self-contained annexe near the Jurassic Coast A secluded, self contained annexe in a small village near Axminster and within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast - Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Bridport, Sidmouth etc. The annexe includes an en-suite shower room, double wardrobe, king sized bed and food preparation area. For fine days there is a private patio with table and chairs for an al fresco breakfast or dinner. Fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. TV and Wifi Own patio with table and chairs. BBQ available. The Annexe is lovely and light, decorated in a bright, seaside style. The Annexe has double patio doors, opening out onto a private patio with table and chairs for your alfresco breakfast or evening barbecue, overlooking our peaceful garden. Alternatively, there is room inside the Annexe to eat your breakfast indoors at a bistro-style table and chairs. A microwave is also provided. Just let us know if there is anything you need to borrow - beach towels, rugs etc. We live in the main house adjoining the annexe, just let us know if you want anything while you stay. Kilmington is a small, friendly village in the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are 2 pubs within walking distance which serve great local beers and ciders and many more a short drive away which also offer good quality locallly sourced meals. Also within walking distance is Khushi Kitchen, where you can select home cooked Indian food which can be reheated in the microwave. The village also has an excellent farm shop selling local produce and continental delicacies with the Teapot cafe providing a selection of meals and snacks. There are lovely walks around the village, including Shute woods and the Armada Beacon with views of the sea from the top of the hill. The small town of Axminster is just the other side of the main road with a wider selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. The towns and villages of the Jurassic coast and many wonderful country pubs are a short drive away. Kilmington is located just off the A35, which provides good transport links to Exeter in the west (about 40 mins) and Bridport (30 mins) Dorchester (40 mins) in the east. The costs is within easy reach: Lyme Regis and Seaton are about 15 mintues, Charmouth 15 minutes, Beer 20 minutes and Sidmouth about 30 minutes. There is a bus stop within a short walk with services to Axminster, Honiton, Ottery St Mary and Exeter. National Rail services are available in Axminster with trains directly into Waterloo Station, London.
