Our Apartment is on the first floor of a two storey building, situated in the lovely Cornish village of Downderry. The village is on the coast with a small fishing fleet and unspoilt stony / rocky beach, fantastic rockpools too. Within a 10 minute walk there is a Vegan /!vegetarian cafe, a Restaurant / Deli, a village shop and a traditional English pub with great sea views. This area of Cornwall is often called the forgotten corner, whilst it is popular there are fewer crowds here than in other parts. There are many gardens and estates to visit in this compact area, including Edgcumbe House, Trematon gardens, Pentillie House (Delicious series - Dawn French) and Antony House (Alice in Wonderland). We are also conveniently situated for walking on the extensive south west coast path. The Village itself is also well situated for visiting Looe, Kingsand, Cawsand , and Polperro. If you want to try something different catch the passenger ferry from Cremyl and spend time in Royal William yard in Plymouth across the river Tamar. Our Apartment has another small bedroom which we keep locked for us to keep some personal items there. Apart from that use whatever is there including anything in Cupboards etc. I tend to leave my guests to their own devices. Although i am generally within 20 mins drive of the apartment and would readily give advice or help if required. Our village is generally quiet and friendly. The homes are well cared for and there is a pride in our community. Although there is a fairly regular bus service to my village , a car would be useful if you want to see the area. The roads are hilly but if you'r fit biking is great. Sea fishing is generally good in this area, and shark fishing can be booked from Looe. Alexa is available on site , just talk to her .
