Located a 35 minute drive from Daylesford, a 30 minute drive from Ballarat and only 90 minutes from Melbourne. A great location with less than a 10 minute walk to the main street and shops. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Beautiful country kitchen, dining room, sunroom, laundry, Alfresco dining. A charming and renovated 1860's miner's cottage located in Clunes, 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, part of the historic Gold Fields region of Victoria. This charming country town has an old world feel and is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing getaway from the grind of your daily life. Al fresco dining. Veranda and BBQ. There is a self check in and we will provide the details upon booking. Tourism in Clunes caters for bush walkers, gold prospectors, treasure hunters, collectors, vintage car clubs, history buffs and families seeking to escape to the country. Wander down to the main street and see the historic landscapes and buildings, visit the museum or the Lee Medlyn home of the bottle or enjoy a bite to eat and drink. Clunes unique cultural heritage includes being known as the home of Victoria’s first registered gold discovery. Clunes is host to the annual Booktown event, which brings together booksellers, writers and speakers from Australia and overseas. Clunes also boasts a recently established monthly Farmers Market, Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve for walks and great views and Eastern Peak Vineyard. Each school term Clunes hosts year 9 Wesley students from Melbourne for an independent community learning experience. You can get to Clunes by car or by a train service that runs from Southern Cross Station. (Maryborough - Melbourne Via Ballarat towards Maryborough). It is a 20 minute walk from the station to the house. The house is a ten minute walk from the main street in town where you can find all Clunes has to offer. If you are wanting to explore areas outside of Clunes you will need a car. We recommend booking a car to visit Clunes. Alternatively you can book a taxi in advance. More details are provided in the welcome book when guests arrive. We recommend a car to get the most out of your experience in Clunes. Optus reception is limited around the property. For security we require all guests to provide a photo of Driver's licences of all guests staying.For guests who are new/no reviews on airbnb, or is not fully verified by airbnb PETS: ONLY SMALL short haired DOGS.
