Farmhouse loft, self-contained near Nimbin/Lismore

The self-contained loft is above our farmhouse on a working property. Access is via a separate external staircase. The loft is a perfect space for a couple or singles who enjoy relaxing in a tranquil rural setting. It offers an ideal stopover on your travels or a base to explore the villages, National Parks and many great country markets and farmers markets around the Northern Rivers region. The loft interior has a modern, light and comfortable feel with rural views from every window. A fully equipped kitchenette (gas stove and grill, no oven) microwave oven, bathroom (with shower, toilet and vanity) offers everything you need. Relax and dine on the veranda with a view. The bed is king size or can be made into two singles if preferred. A sofa bed makes a comfortable bed for one extra person. You are welcome to take a dip in the pool. We are a working property so enjoy walking through our pecan orchard, viewing cows and baby calves or strolling around the dams. There's abundant bird life and wildlife - you may spot a family of wallabies! Although interaction with our guests will be minimal, we are happy to do whatever we can to help make your stay enjoyable. We are situated in a traditional farming area of the Northern Rivers region half way between Lismore and Nimbin (15 minute drive from each). Byron Bay is 45 minutes away and Bangalow 35 minutes. The Gold Coast Airport is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. Travelling south from the Gold Coast, an alternative scenic drive to get here is via Murwillumbah and Nimbin. You will avoid the busy highway traffic around Byron Bay too! After Nimbin, exit at the first Boyle Road sign if okay to drive on dirt road for a few kms. We are close to Nightcap National Park and Protestors Falls. The Channon, famous for its country market (every 2nd Sunday) is a 10 minute drive. We recommend you explore the region and enjoy the artisan country markets and abundant fresh local produce available at many farmers markets. As public transport is very limited your own transport is essential.
