Twisted Twig Glamping retreat is more than just a place to stay the night, it is an off grid experience nestled in 15 acres of pristine native bush surrounded by a working dairy farm. Located 45 minutes from Rotorua -40 minutes from Whakatane - short drive to Lake Rotoma. Guest access: We will meet you at the gate and discuss parking arrangements. There is a 250 metre walk in - your luggage will be transported. Activities to do: Glow worms A walk to the Giant tree Outdoor bath Bird watching This is glamping which is a form of camping. We live on the farm Just a short distance from the retreat . The retreat is a private location in the heart of the beautiful New Zealand native bush. You will be able to sit back and relax and enjoy listening to the birds sing or you might want to take an outdoor bath and enjoy a glass of wine. The retreat is set up for self catering. There are Breakfast provisions for you to enjoy . There are some daytime activities listed in the Retreats information booklet. By car or a 4 wheel drive if you have one, is the best way of getting around. When you arrive you will be driving on a farm track and through a paddock to get to the parking site. The Host will then transfer you and your luggage to the Hut. In the event of bad weather alternative arrangements may be discussed on your arrival. If at any stage you are unsure about the drive to the Glamping parking spot please let the Host know. This is a working dairy farm so from time to time their maybe agricultural or animal noises.
