Room with a view over Newcastle in a charming spacious historic weatherboard house which has been modernised and renovated in a contemporary style. It is situated in a quiet location. It is in easy walking distance to Lambton and New Lambton shops, restaurants and cafes, Lizotte's, West Leagues Club and Lambton pool. Short walking distance to No 13 Bus stop through town and to beaches as well as John Hunter Hospital. Close to McDonald Jones Stadium and University of Newcastle, Callaghan Campus. The room on offer is situated inside the family home which is occupied by the host who is willing to share other areas of the house, including verandas, living room, kitchen and laundry facilities, by arrangement. The room and the verandas at the front have an expansive view over town. Whilst there is currently no television in the room there is a television in the lounge room that can be available on most occasions by arrangement. There is no smoke detector in the room but there is one just outside the room in the hallway. The house features a pizza oven with pizza and other meals on offer when fired up by the host. Some Kitchen facilities can be available such as toaster, kettle and some fridge space or items such as milk. Dedicated dishes for your use are also available and are located in the top drawer of the dresser in your room. Communicate what your needs are and I will endeavour to accommodate this. Some dishes and glassware within the home will be off limits, unless specifically offered. Washing machine/dryer is also available and can be used but will be subject to my assistance. The host can be available throughout most of the day. She is a sociable person but will respect your privacy and need for solitude. The host also speaks German, some French and some Spanish. Lizotte's and West Leagues Club are in walking distance as are quality restaurants such as Ghanda's Indian Restaurant and Paul's Asian Affair offering quality cuisines. Excellent coffee shops include Black Circle Cafe and Locale in New Lambton or the Williams Cafe in Lambton. There are also a number of local pubs accessible by foot or offering courtesy bus transport. Blackbutt nature reserve is only minutes away by car as is Mc Donald Jones Stadium. Bus route No 13 will take you into town and to the beaches or to John Hunter hospital. Short straight forward drive on main access roads takes 10-15 min into town and to various beaches. Bus Route No 13 is only a short walk and will take you into town ant to the beaches through inner city suburbs. Courtesy bus services exist with some of the local pubs which also offer entertainment on weekends. I am currently available throughout most of the day but have some commitments during the day or early evening where I can't be at home. Good communication is such helpful for making arrangements with such things as arrival time and introducing you to the space. A keylock box exists to give you access if I cannot be present at the time of your arrival. If you are travelling by public transport, I may be able to assist with pick up from stations or bus stops. I might be able to provide breakfast or meals/food on occasions. Feel free to ask about this. My house has two listings for Airbnb. This means that besides me, the host, you will be sharing the space and all amenities with others at times and will have to consider the need and comfort of others. Please appreciate that people of all cultures and backgrounds which may be different to yours may reside on the premises at the same time and and be mindful to this. Recognise and practice appropriate protocols of behaviour and communication that are respectful to and considerate of others so that all of us can feel comfortable and safe in each other’s company.
