Ancestral home was rebuilt after being bombed during 2nd WW in 1947 and recent restoration started in 2007 to provide homely ambience to guests. Home is in the heart of city, ideal to try out restaurants offering local & vegetarian food at walking distance including taxi/bus stands. Asia's only women's market IMA Market, the historic Shamu Makhong, the statue of the then Maharaja Bhagyachandra & Kangla Fort, the sacred place to learn the rich heritage and culture of Manipur are very closeby. This is a large home, with a central court yard with flowers and a large bougainvillea tree flowering throughout the year. Facilities are available to host a party if required including cooking using logs. They have access to kitchen, reception room and garden. I provide information on breakfast, transportation, restaurants and tourist spots. We do not accept local couples. Taxis available from the airport costing approximately Rs300 with a 20 min journey time. Buses available. The original house was destroyed by bombs dropped by Japanese fighter bombers during the World War II. The house was rebuilt after the war in 1946-48 with great difficulty. The location has easy connectivity to all arterial roads in and out of Imphal.
