30m to swim in the creek, 150m to beach. Soak up panoramic creek views, and listen to the sound of the surf. Walk to the beach, go for a paddle, cook up a storm, curl up with a book, or gather around the fire under the stars. This light filled modern shack has everything you need, and nothing you do not. The house has two pavilions joined by a covered breezeway. A well equipped kitchen and sheltered veranda provide places to gather and relax. Two bedrooms and a loft sleep ten in comfort. Sleep spaces include a master bedroom (king bed), bunk room (queen and four singles), and loft (queen), plus the option of sleeping on the veranda. Linen is not provided unless arranged in advance ($50 KB/QB, $25 SB). The bathroom is largely open and connected to the living spaces by a large screen door ... in line with the camping feel. In keeping with the pared back vibe, there is no TV to distract you from the beautiful surrounds. Dogtrot House won Australian House of the Year under 200 square meters in 2014 for its clean modern design. This is not a conventional dwelling and will not suit those looking for a suburban house. However, if you are looking for a luxurious take on camping, and want to connect with friends, family and nature - Dogtrot may be for you. Congo is a relaxed coastal village, ten minutes drive from Moryua. The creek and two natural beaches offer great surf, swimming and fishing, along with lovely walks (including the Bingie Dreaming track). It is around 2.5 hours from Canberra and 4.0-4.5 hours from Sydney. Please note: we do not allow pets, and the house is strictly non-smoking. Linen and towels are not provided. We may be able to provide linen for an additional fee, if arranged well in advance, but have lmited availability over summer.
