A recently renovated cottage in the woods. Set on just over an acre with state forest outside the back gate to explore. This is our beautiful weekend retreat. It is cosy, comfortable and a great place to relax. The property is great for children, with a large trampoline; separate (unpowered) games room with ping pong and foosball tables along with a dart board; and loads of room to run around in. This gives the adults time to relax with a book on the verandah... The house is listed as unsuitable for 0 to 2 year olds purely because we don't have a cot, high chair, fire surround, stair gates, corner protectors, etc. It is a 'regular' house (although we do have plastic plates, bowls and cups) but if you are able to bring all the necessary equipment and supervise your children then there is no problem at all. We have recently renovated the kitchen and generally updated the house. It still has it's cottage charm but it's feeling a bit more spivvy! When it is chilly there is a wood burner in the lounge, electric blankets on the queen beds and a couple of portable radiators. In the summer we have ceiling fans in the queen bedrooms, dining area and lounge. There is a fan on a stand in the bunk room. Bed linen and towels are supplied. You are also welcome to use our general kitchen supplies such as tea, coffee, sugar, oil, spices, etc. Mobile phone signal at the house is patchy but there is a land line and wifi. There is a DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs and we also have Chromecast allowing you to stream TV programs once you have downloaded the app onto your phone. You'll have the house and outside games room. Unfortunately I'm not always able to be available to meet guests but everything in the house is easy to use and there are detailed instructions on the fridge. In the event of needing to ask a question or not being able to find something we are easily contactable by phone. Dwellingup has so much to offer and our house is perfectly situated to make the most of it all, including Lane Pool Reserve, the Hotham Valley Railway, the Forest Heritage Centre, Trees Adventure, the Bibbulman track, etc. The Wine Tree with its locally made cider and wine served in a fabulous setting is also just down the road. There's plenty of room for parking, including one car port.
