Georgica Kookaburra Cottage

Kookaburra Cottage is situated in a relaxing country setting on a small plateau with amazing mountain views to Mt Nardi, Blue Knob, Nightcap Range and the NSW/Queensland Border Ranges. The cottage is approximately one hours drive to coastal beaches from Evans Head to Byron Bay and World Heritage National Parks. This is the perfect setting for a peaceful getaway. Our country cottage is situated in a private area of the garden with lovely mountain views to the north, perfect for a quiet rest in the countryside. Please feel free to enjoy the garden & take walks along the quiet country roads. Continental breakfast is supplied, however fresh farm produce may be available seasonally ( if the chooks are laying). The accommodation has a self contained kitchen/lounge area, with a small stove, microwave & BBQ on the deck for cooking. Guests need to bring their own food and it's a good idea to buy groceries before you arrive. The cottage has one queen bedroom with adjoining bathroom & a sofa bed in the the living/kitchen area. On arrival guests will need to stop at the main house to be shown directions to the cottage. Guests have a private driveway to the cottage and parking area. We are happy to welcome our guests & help to make your stay enjoyable, however we respect your privacy and hope you enjoy your stay. Driving is the only way to explore this area, take a drive to Byron Bay & surrounding beaches. Lismore is our regional centre and has great restaurants and art galleries just 25 minutes away. It's an easy drive to Nimbin and many country villages in the area & just 15 min drive to Goolmangar shop if you need supplies eg. groceries, alcohol & takeaways. Approx 25 minutes north-west of Lismore & 25 minutes south-west of Nimbin. The closest domestic airport is Lismore (25min) and Ballina (1 hour east) and International airport at the Gold Coast is 1 1/2 hours north.
