There is lots of space. Two very large rooms, and one bathroom. The bedroom has a king sized bed, a large office desk, and a sofa bed. The living room has two sofas, one of which is a sofabed, a kitchenette supplied with all you need for cooking, and a dining area. Apart from the spectacular views day and night which we never tire of looking at, you can enjoy watching and visiting our smallholding with our sheep and chickens in our fields behind the property which are part of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beaty of the Mendip Hills. It is an idyllic tranquil setting where you can hear the owls at night and the birds in the morning. We pride ourselves with beautiful furniture and tasteful decoration. We aim to provide everything you could possibly need. There is plenty of parking space. Please note smoking or vaping is not allowed inside the accommodation or on the balconies. The burning of incense is also prohibited. The annex has its own private entrance. Although a second floor space it has flat access across a bridge and offers commanding views through the large windows. As well as the Annex there is a small gym available for use at any time and access to a laundry room can be made available on request. The annex sits above a rarely active garage space and a little used living area of the main house. We are happy to show you around our active smallholding and introduce you to the chickens and Eric the sheep. Dexter our collie dog usually loves people to take him for a walk and will, maybe, help guide you around the local footpaths. Just ask. The Mendip hills have lots to offer, and Draycott is an ideal base between Cheddar and Wookey Hole and only 6 miles from the cathedral City of Wells. The village has a small shop and post office. Three pubs are available within easy walking distance!...a rare treat for an otherwise isolated location, and many more are accessible by a short bike ride. Lots of good hiking including a 1 to 2 hour walk to Cheddar Gorge or a 15 minute bike ride (to the base!) A bus route serves the village with hourly services between Wells, Cheddar and Weston Super Mare We have a dog and cat as well as sheep and chickens. Ask if you'd like some fresh eggs or if you'd like to hug a sheep! We rent out quality bikes to explore the hills and the Somerset Levels.
