We specialise in tourism and can share travel hints for the region, especially having to do with biking... Couples or families, we are here for you. It's ideal that you arrive by car, as town is 20 minutes' drive away. There is ample parking. The setting is quiet and rural, up a stunning valley surrounded by macrocarpa forests. The luxury guesthouse features two queen bedrooms plus a small couch that could suit a child. We provide plunger coffee, tea, cereal, bread, butter and farm-fresh eggs to get you off to a good start on day one. Our tiny pool is open from about December - April, depending on the weather. We will greet you onsite and brief you upon arrival. Our rural setting will give you a glimpse of The Real New Zealand. The 20-minute drive to Nelson is scenic and free of traffic. It's easy to hit the supermarkets (or Farmers' Markets, on Saturdays and Wednesdays) to provision for the week. Just around the corner, Cable Bay and The Glen are the two close beaches (stone, not sand). The beautiful sandy Tahunanui beach is farther along the waterfront through town. When you’re in town, be sure to visit the water view lookout up on Princes Drive. What a view! And for mountain bike enthusiasts, you’ll be excited to know that we’re located 5 minutes down the road from Cable Bay Adventure Park, and 25 minutes from the bike trail meccas of Codgers and Sharlands.
