Located on a quiet country lane only 15 mins to Mansfield - 20 mins to Mt Buller gate. A tranquil, relaxing escape ideal for families and couples. PLEASE NOTE: You will have the entire property to yourself and the rate includes both the Homestead and Cottage. We can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests across the two dwellings (5 bedrooms in total). THE HOMESTEAD: Wairere's main living room features two large comfy leather lounges, the perfect place to curl up to enjoy the open fire, glass of wine and a movie on our large Smart TV. Alternatively you may wish to enjoy the second lounge and choose from our selection of games or books to while away a lazy hour or two. The homestead features 4 gorgeous bedrooms (plus a 5th bedroom in the self contained cottage) with stunning garden views from every room. The bedroom options are as follows: Master Bedroom - King bed with walk in robe and ensuite bathroom Bedroom 2 - King bed which can be converted to two singles on request. Bedroom 3 - Single over double bed plus trundle accommodating a couple or range of family options. Bedroom 4 - King Single plus trundle (with legs for added comfort). Bedroom 5 - Queen bed in cottage (see below under Wairere Nest Cottage for further details). There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge in the cottage (recommended for kids and teenagers). Professional COVID safe cleaning services are utilised to ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained throughout. Our two bathrooms and seperate toilet and laundry feature beautiful Myrtle & Moss and Sukin toiletries plus a washer/dryer machine, heated towel rails and hairdryer. Our kitchen is the heart of the home and is fully equipped with full size fridge, large 90cm cooktop and oven, Miele dishwasher, microwave and quality dinnerware and appliances. It is located adjacent to the large 12 seat dining room with stunning rural views. The covered outdoor dining area and pool is also just around the corner - on those warm summer mornings you can step straight from the kitchen to the private outdoor BBQ area to enjoy a cool beverage or dip in the pool. Original artwork and designer furniture decorate this stylish home, the features are too many to include, however rest assured every space has been interior designed with comfort, practicality and serenity at front of mind. Finally, the covered front veranda provides another sitting area with two outdoor lounges and is a fabulous spot to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of tea while enjoying the beautiful rural and garden views. WAIRERE NEST COTTAGE: Our 'Wairere Nest' Retreat is a separate fully self contained one bedroom cottage (plus double sofa bed on request) nestled in our glorious gardens only a few steps from the main homestead. The character wood-lined cottage features a separate bedroom with comfortable queen bed, separate bathroom with Rinnai gas heated shower, toilet and sink plus an alcove with washer/dryer and laundry sink. The main lounge/dining/kitchen provides ample space for up to 4 guests with double sofa bed (mattress topper provided for additional comfort). Full kitchen amenities are also provided enabling guests to be completely self sufficient from the main homestead. A woodheater and panel heater, and electric blankets, are provided to ensure you feel snug year round and a small air-conditioner and fans in the living area and bedroom are available to help keep you cool in summer. Wairere Nest is the perfect option for multi-generational family groups, and would be ideal for parents/grandparents who would appreciate a quiet retreat to come and go from as they please. Guests should note that Wairere is a working farm with unfenced water, farm animals, chemicals and machinery nearby. You are welcome to enter the paddocks directly behind the property to admire the beautiful views over Mt Buller and Timbertop but gates must be kept closed at all times. The garden and farm sheds are not for guest access due to the presence of farm machinery and chemicals. Where possible, Dennis or I will organise to meet up with guests on their day of arrival to show them around the property and answer any questions they may have about the amenities. If I am not available my local team will be available to assist with any urgent matters or concerns. 1. COVID policy - should guests not be able to travel at short notice due to a member of the group being a primary close contact or a confirmed COVID case then we will work with guests to find a mutually acceptable date to reschedule their stay without penalty. If any guests test positive for COVID during their stay they need to notify us immediately so we can inform our cleaners and appropriate disinfecting can occur prior to our next guests arriving. We currently allow at least 1 night (often longer outside of peak periods) between each booking in accordance with Airbnbs COVID recommendations. 2. No loud noise or music and strictly no parties including bucks/hens nights and large birthday parties (exceeding 14 guests). No noise outdoors after 10pm. No groups under 28 years of age. Please refer to house rules for further information. 3. The solar heated pool is available for use from October - April (end of school holidays). Outside of these dates the pool will be covered to protect it from leaves and debris.
