Peaceful country gite, with pool 2 to 8 people

Le Coudert is a newly renovated gite in the peaceful countryside of the Correze, near the Dordogne border. This charming, four-bedroomed gite is located in a sunny position between the villages of Segonzac and St Robert. This lovely barn conversion sits on a tree-lined drive surrounded by fields and woodlands and enjoys beautiful views, with no passing traffic. A large, private pool and extensive gardens enable you to enjoy a relaxing stay or is a base to explore the surrounding attractions. On the ground floor there is a large, fully equipped kitchen/dining room with a cosy log burner for winter use. A welcome pack of essentials is provided for our guests on arrival. The large split level living room has ample seating with a corner sofa, a TV, DVD/CD player, plus extra seating with games and books for quiet moments. There is a separate downstairs toilet and an open plan staircase to the first floor. At the top of the stairs, you will find a large landing/seating area, perfect for curling up with a book. There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms (these can be rearranged to sleep 4 couples). The 2 shower rooms have a toilet and sink. A baby bath is also available. An outside balcony and staircase can be accessed from each of the 2 double bedrooms and offers an extra area to enjoy your morning coffee and croissant. There are cots available on request. All bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Outside you will find a large parking space. There is a pretty covered outdoor dining area with a BBQ. A new addition in 2021 is a small patio area at the back of the gite, offering another peaceful area to sit and relax. The stunning, private swimming pool is 12×5 metres and is surrounded by hedging and wooden decking with sunbeds, parasols and seating, all with amazing views. The pool is unheated and therefore will be covered up during the winter months and reopens as soon as the weather allows. An outside clothes drier is provided and plenty of grassy areas for children to play. For hot days the well-established trees around the property provide welcome shade. There is a playroom with a table tennis table and a variety of outdoor toys for the children. There is also a fridge and outdoor picnic items for use around the pool. Wifi is available throughout the property. Sorry, no pets. Smoking is not allowed inside any of the buildings at Le Coudert. Whilst the gite offers complete privacy, the owners live on-site and are available if you require any help or assistance. Close to the village of St Robert, named as one of the 'beautiful villages' of France, guests can enjoy the experience of an evening of local produce and wine at the weekly outdoor food markets during the summer months. Picnic basket provided! The gite is well situated for exploring a wide range of attractions, all within an hours drive. Including Lascaux Caves, Terrasson, Rocamadour, Hautefort, Brive and so much more. A car is highly recommended for exploring the area. A local bus does run from St Robert. Extensive country walks around the area. Many good signposted routes. Good cycling opportunities.
