Monte Bella - Parsi-owned holiday villa

Monte Bella is a quiet Parsi-owned family home in the heart of Mahabaleshwar, yet far enough from the noise of the market. It has 4 spacious bedrooms adorned with vintage beds and wardrobes, and 3 bathrooms. Those who want to rejuvenate can relax on the patio on our wrought iron chairs or curl up with a book on the swing in our private garden. Let our in-house cook spoil you with her fantastic food from Biryanis to pitla bhakri to fried fish and mutton curries! Escape to your home away from home at Monte Bella. We pride ourselves in offering a homely and warm environment in our family home filled with memories and fun. Lovely to relax amongst nature, we are surrounded by a canopy of trees and located just over a kilometer from the market place. We are also located a short 5 min walk from Wilson Point where you can watch the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy your breakfasts (choose various options for breakfast the way you like it - eggs with toast, jam, cheese or poha, upma, paranthas, etc) included in the cost. Dinners available at Rs. 500 per head. (chicken and veg based.)Mutton/ fish avaialable at extra cost (no restrictions with non-veg food). Our cook makes delicious dishes like pav bhaji, biryanis, dhansakh, konkani / malwani style sea food as well as typical maharashtrian food like missal pav and pitla bhakri. A barbecue can also be arranged for a extra cost of Rs. 1000+ meal cost. The house is situated in a quiet bungalow society with other holiday homes near by. The ground floor has one bedroom with an attached bathroom which opens out onto the patio and garden. The living and dining spaces and the kitchen are also on the ground floor. The first floor has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom with a tub. The other two bedrooms share a common bathroom, both accessible from inside the bedrooms. The garden space has a hammock, a garden swing and other wrought iron furniture so you can enjoy your meals outdoors. We can also organise a barbecue for your group (at an additional cost). There is ample parking space within the premises for 4 to 6 cars. All interaction over mail and phone. We have lived in Mahabaleshwar so are more than happy to help out with what places to visit or eat at. Please ask us for a detailed list if this is your first visit to Mahabaleshwar or if you'd like to explore a bit more this visit. We are located about 2km away from the market in a housing society where there are well spaced out holiday homes. Taxis are available in the market, however most people drive to Mahabaleshwar (3hr journey from Pune). PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE BOOKING NO Exceptions will be made for the below points, please understand and respect the house rules to avoid an unpleasant experience for both of us: - GUESTS MUST SUBMIT TWO PEOPLES IDs ( Photocopy) upon check-in. - Refundable deposit of INR. 10,000 must be given to the caretaker upon check-in. - Check-in Time is 14:00 hrs and Check-out Time is 12:00 hrs - We strictly do not allow more than 12 persons at Monte Bella including children - Date change requests will not be entertained within the last week of the booking. House Rules - please read and share with your group! - Male staff and drivers will not be allowed to stay in the house. We do not have any space to accommodate them on our property - If accompanied by personal staff (female) they will only be allowed to use additional bedding made in one of the rooms. Please let us know at the time of booking. - None of the guest bedrooms can be allocated for staff or nannies. - Our furniture is all antique, we request you to leave it in the same way you find it. Shifting/ reshuffling the furniture is not allowed. - Throwing trash around the house and garden is not appreciated. We provide dustbins in all rooms, and would appreciate guests who have the decency to use them (and are quite embarrassed we even have to mention this here). - In case of damage to property, guests will be charged before check out. Our house staff: Our staff is our family and part of what makes Monte Bella what it is. We treat them with respect and kindness, they get a short break in the afternoon and we expect the same courtesy from our valued guests at Monte Bella. Ill-treatment of our staff will not be tolerated. For people with 4 legged members joining (dogs)! (Pets not allowed in monsoons) - We allow families to get their dogs @₹500 per pet if they are friendly (we have two friendly dogs who stay there as well). - There is a complete boundary wall so pets can be safe inside the property. It is the guests responsibility to keep the gate closed and make sure their pets don't run out
