Our modern townhouse is close to Scott's Point Beach, an easy walk to Redcliffe or Woody Point, Settlement Cove Swimming Lagoon, hotels/bars/cafés and restaurants, public transport and 25 min's to Brisbane Airport by car. Guests stay in a 2 bedroom apartment with full amenities on the upstairs level with a private balcony. Great for couples, solo adventurers, business guests, and families. Scotts Point Beach Retreat is on 2 levels and Guests have full private use of the upstairs level which includes 2 bedrooms and inter-connecting private "lockable" bathroom, kitchen/dining, lounge and private enclosed balcony (with BBQ). We provide guests with a basic supply of foods (juice, milk, cereal, tea/coffee/sugar, butter/margarine, condiments, sauces, spices/salt/pepper etc.) to ensure your stay is rewarding. All other food/s are guest's responsibility to provide. As your hosts, Frank and I live nearby and as part of our guest experience we like to introduce ourselves to guests on your day of arrival. This is an opportunity for us to provide local information to help during your stay and to discuss our “House Details”! We then leave you to yourselves, and trust you to enjoy your stay and respect our home. Scotts Point Beach Retreat offers you all the comforts of home but with modern 4 star facilities - a small quiet complex with only 8 town-houses - this is NOT a high-rise apartment complex. Guests are required to respect our neighbours with regards to noise levels and NO parties permitted or excessive visitors at any one time. Smoking not permitted inside or on the balcony! Don't forget to register your QANTAS points with AIRBNB to receive additional rewards!!! Guests stay upstairs in a private 2 bedroom living space while our private bedroom/ensuite and living space are downstairs - this remains locked at all times in our absence. The laundry is located on the ground floor near the front entry which guests are welcome to use (a clothes-horse, iron and ironing board is provided upstairs for your personal use). Car parking is under the private carport located at the front door and away from the street (please note: very large 4WD/Utes may need to park on the quiet street at the front). Frank & I live very close by in Redcliffe however I am available to communicate with guests at all times via the AIRBNB messaging or phone. If possible we aim to meet guests on your day of arrival (usually around 5-6 pm) to welcome you & provide an overview of the home & surrounds and then leave you to enjoy your stay. Should we need to drop by to collect personal belongings from our private rooms downstairs we will message guests first to let you know. We have a strict policy of not coming upstairs during our guests stay - unless invited by you - this is your home during your stay! Redcliffe is the gateway to Moreton Bay and offers whale & dolphin/dugong watching opportunities from Redcliffe and Scarborough to Moreton Island/Tangalooma Resort. Close to North Lakes with IKEA and Westfield Shopping Centre, Sandgate & Brighton a short drive across the Houghton Highway Bridge. Walking distance to Redcliffe Swimming Lagoon (Settlement Cove) and playgrounds which are fantastic and free for the kids. Great for swimming in the bay or fishing off the shore, paddle-boarding, kayaking, walking along the esplanade or the sandy beaches, exploring the bay and Gayundah Ship Wreck on Woody Point. Explore Scarborough where you'll find some lovely cafe's and restaurants across the road from the park-lands and beach, or drive to Moreton Bay Boat Club which sits on the Marina for a lovely view of the sunset or have fish'n'chips on Scarborough Marina at Morgan's Fresh Seafoods. Bus stops along Oxley Avenue just around the corner. Train station located at Kippa Ring only 5 minutes drive/taxi away. The Brisbane International & Domestic Airport is only a 30 minutes drive (in busy traffic) straight down the Gateway Motorway which will cost approx. $60 by taxi. There are local Courtesy Bus Services to some venues close by (Woody Point The Belvedere Hotel and the Redcliffe RSL). Woody Point, Redcliffe and surrounds are a fantastic holiday destination in the Moreton Bay & Redcliffe Peninsula. The region boasts sporting & boating opportunities, tourism & holiday activities, family parklands & BBQ locations, wedding and function venues, corporate events and a quiet beach-side atmosphere. Close to the Brisbane Airport (30 minutes by car/taxi/uber) and only 45 minutes to the Brisbane CBD. There are plenty of restaurants, cafe's, fish'n'chip shops, hotels/pubs, RSL/Leagues clubs, Boat Clubs, Sunday Markets. Settlement Cove is a free community lagoon style pool located 2 km's away from our place and the region is great for families. We provide books, games, toys and puzzles for children to use during your stay to keep them amused and for your enjoyment as well as Netflix and Wi-Fi access on the TV which are all upstairs in the "Guest Space". Porta-cot, child-safe stair gate or toddlers mattress are available upon request only - please ensure you advise host if these are required. Please Note: I have not "child-proofed" the cupboards, drawers etc. in my home - you are welcome to move some things if you wish to ensure your child's safety! Please discuss with Tracey.
