Welcome to Kainga Whakata, a maori term for a place to relax, rest and rejuvenate, this is exactly what we want for our guests. Our executive beach retreat apartments are located a handy 400m to the main Opunake beach and approx 500m from the town centre. Both apartments are self-contained 1 bedroom accomodation with kitchens and a shared laundry. You can either book one apartment (see seperate listing for Executive beach apartment) or the full complex (both) -this listing We have fibre unlimited Wifi, Gas infinity hot water and our ground floor apartment is accessible for wheelchairs. The Opunake walkway (and secret garden) is 400m from the apartment's. Opunake offers great surfing, walks, fishing, and is only 40 minutes from Mt Taranaki. Top floor apartment only is $125 per night check out alternative listing. Tea and coffee are provided. Full built in wall ovens and 4 Bench top elements in each apartment as well as full size fridge freezers in both.Foam mattresses avail for additional guests. Ground floor has a fold out couch as well. It offers great Cafes, an awesome community run movie theatre and some great little Op Shops to rummage through. The Opunake walkway is a 10km loop that runs along the clifftops next to the ocean, around Lake Opunake, along the Waiau River and also an old Mill site.
