There is a pathway from the Main Street of Milltown Malbay to the Station House which is approximately 200m away. On the Main Street and just off it you will find many pubs with Irish music and restaurants. The main restaurant is called the Old Bake House and is situated on the Main Street. We are 3 minutes from the Wild Atlantic Way of Co. Clare including the Cliffs of Moher (only 20 minutes drive away). Our main home is in a converted old "Railway Station House." The guest apartment is in a separate building adjoining the main house. There are 3 bedrooms all en suite. The first bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. The third bedroom has a king sized bed. We have a sitting/TV room that accommodates 6 people. We have a fully fitted kitchen that accommodates six people. The guest apartment has separate access to it as well as ample parking and bicycle parking , and a very good wifi signal. Guests will have sole use of the accommodation. These consist of 1 twin room and 1 double room also 1 king sized room that sleep up to 6 guests. Guests have access to a self contained kitchen/dining area and sitting/TV Room - both accommodate 6 people. Our house and guest accommodation are surrounded by almost 2 acres of gardens. Guests will have access to the gardens immediately in front of the house. There is also ample car parking available immediately outside the accommodation annex. We also have ample bicycle parking spaces. My husband or I will be on site and/or nearby if you have any queries. We are ideally suited to explore West Clare and the Wild Atlantic Way. In addition, our home is situated within a 3 minute walk of Miltown Malbay and a range of pubs with live traditional music sessions/folk singing. We have many fabulous beaches close by with access to great surfing, sunbathing, swimming and walking. The Cliff's of Moher are only a 20 minutes drive from here. Doolin is a half an hours drive and Shannon Airport is a 45 minutes drive from the Station House. We will be happy to point you in the direction of both well known tourist spots and some hidden gems. Even though we are within a short walk of the town, a car is recommended for those wishing to explore the many beautiful beaches and tourist attractions located within a 20-30 minute drive from our home. Guests travelling by public transport will need to price the cost of a taxi from Ennis/Lahinch. We may be able to assist with same. THE STATION HOUSE IS IN A FANTASTIC LOCATION AND IS JUST A SHORT DISTANCE TO THE MANY LOCAL PUBS AND SUPERMARKETS. There is a large super market situated on the Ennis road leading into Miltown Malbay. On the grounds of this super market there is a well fitted out play ground for children under 12 years of age. There is also an astro turf soccer pitch that can be rented out. In order to do this just call into Super Valu and they will arrange it. The Old Bake House Restaurant is a fabulous restaurant to eat in. Cogan's Bar across from the Old Bake House has a great selection of food to eat in as well. Just down the road from my Station House you will find the Yard restaurant which also serves beautiful tasty food. You will find "Cleary's" bar in just a 3 minutes walk from my house. It is on the left hand side just down from the Yard Restaurant and every Thursday night is has an open house music session. I have sent many of my guests there and they all loved it. Around the corner from Cleary's put is another put called the "West Bridge". On a Wednesday night they have an open music session as well. On a Monday night "Clancy's" Bar on the Main Street have an open music session too. Lynch's pub which is on the Main Street down from the Bank of Ireland is a very old pub and has music sessions most nights. O'Loughlins Bar, the Malbay, Michael A's are other bars which provide entertainment as well. The Armada Hotel is situated 2.5 kilometres from Miltown Malbay. It has bars and Restaurants in it and the food is delicious. The views from the Hotel over look Spanish Point Beach. The owner John Burke has recently arrived back from climbing Mount Everest. He is to first Clare man to have achieved this honour. There is also another hotel in Spanish Point called the Bellbridge Hotel. This hotel also provides wonderful food and entertainment. Two Bulgarian chefs run the Coast Lodge Restaurant that over looks Spanish Point Beach. Their food is amazing to say the least. It's a fantastic place to sit out at and have a glass of wine and look at the amazing sunsets. So, overall there is plenty of places to go to in Miltown Malbay and nearby Spanish Point. You won't be disappointed.
