historical house Scaldaferro
The residence Scaldaferro is the old venetian house of the Scaldaferro Family, notorious bakers of the Riviera del Brenta since 1800. It consists of four unrelated rooms, each one with private bathroom, and a kitchen and a living room as common space. Outside it has a broad parking lot and a garden. To access the house you have to check-in, if you decide the hour of arriving with the staff or using two numerical keys (one to get inside the building and one to get the key of your room and of the parking lot) if the hour of your arrival is not specified. In the room you can find the tv controller and for the air conditioning. In the kitchen, which is a common space, you can find all the equipment for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with sugar, coffee, salt, and oil. You are provided with a coupon for the family if you have breakfast in the close Locanda alla Posta, which is property of the host. The house is placed in a silent and pleasant place. You can access the rooms by a common entrance. The opening can be actuated with a numerical combination. All the rooms are on the first floor. Every room is provided with a king sized bed (185 x 200) and a very comfortable pull-out couch. Sheets and towels are free furnished for every stay. The house is equipped with free wi-fi and every room has a smart Tv and the air conditioner. The bath is private and endowed with shower, bidet and water. Soap and shower are furnished shampoo. The kitchen is endowed with dishwasher, induction plan, microwaves, the Nespresso’s coffee machine, refrigerator and freezer and it has all the endowments of cutlery for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the living room, to common use, there are informative brochure about the zone. There is for the guests the possibility of benefit from a special convention with a local guide, who speaks English and French for personalized tours for few people of 1/2 day or excursions of a whole day. It’s located only 19 km from the centre of Venice, 25 km from the centre of Padua and 4km from Fusina. It’s also near the bus stop of the buses headed to Padua or Venice. In this square were changed the horses of the ship lifters, which was an old profession that included the lifting of the barges down the river with four horses placed on the opposites embankments. The square was painted by lots of famous painters and one of them is Canaletto. The uptown is really quiet and fascinating and well connected with Padua and Venice.
