Secluded guesthouse in a tropical paradise
A modern and stylish guesthouse fully surrounded by tropical gardens, making it private and secluded. The house is air-conditioned and has a fireplace. Bedsheets and towels provided. Fast NBN wireless internet. The guesthouse is on the same property as the well known 'Bamboo Land Nursery & Parklands'. The property is on the fresh water Burrum River which is great for swimming and canoeing. Canoe available. Our aim is to make your stay feel like a proper hotel experience - fresh and clean, but with an extra personal touch. Everything from linen, towels, soap, etc is supplied. There is a big screen TV in the main living area, and a smaller TV in the master bedroom. The gueshouse is set up with fast unlimited NBN internet, with free wireless access. The main TV is a smart TV, so feel free to login to you netflix account, or whatever else you may want to access online. The Bamboo Land gardens is basically at your doorstep, so please feel free to go exploring whenever you like. Through the gardens you can access the fresh water Burrum River. Swimming is possible, or borrow our canoe and go for a paddle. The Bamboo Land shop is open 8am to 5pm, 7 days a week. There you will find a full nursery and giftshop, with espresso coffees, cold drinks and ice-creams. We are a pretty busy family with a business to run which is open 7 days a week, and 2 small kids. This means you may not always be dealing with us directly when checking in or out. Check in during business hours (8am to 5pm) is via our Bamboo Land reception/shop. After hours check-in is best co-ordinated via telephone or sms. We live on the same property (about 100m from the Guesthouse), so we are always close by if you need anything. The closest town is Howard which is only 5km away. Its a small historic town with well stocked convenience store, pub with very good meals, post office, chemist, bottle shop and more. So whatever you need - food, drinks, supplies....its generally available in Howard. Though the property is not far from the Bruce Highway or local towns, a car is a must. Public transport options are very limited.
