Yew Trees Cottage is a self-catering former coach house located on Cumledge Estate near the market town of Duns in the Scottish Borders. It is a real home from home with everything you require for a wonderfully relaxing and memorable holiday. A perfect get-away-from-it-all location. Embrace the magnificent Scottish Borders countryside from the tranquil surroundings of Yew Trees Cottage. This charming child and dog friendly holiday cottage has been designed with care, to make your holiday as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The simple and spacious layout is complimented by bright rooms and contemporary furnishings throughout, and includes everything you require for a very memorable holiday. The guests have access to their own private garden as well as being able to enjoy the estate grounds in which the cottage is situated. There are swings and a trampoline for visiting children and the opportunity to help feed and look after our free range chickens. There is a wood fired hot-tub available for use as well as a fire pit and BBQ. Please give advanced notice if wish to use the hot tub. There may be an additional cost. Jane lives next door to the cottage in the main estate house and so will be available to answer any questions. Yew Trees Cottage is situated in the middle of the countryside. The local town, Duns, has (amoung other things) a co-op, pubs, post office, bank, restaurants, chip shop and is a 5 minute driveaway. For those who like the great outdoors, it is possible to walk to Duns through neighbouring Duns Castle grounds. As we situated in the countryside, the best mode of transport is probably car although the roads are lovely and quiet for cycling as well. There are limited buses that stop at our road end and pinned to the notice board is the name of a very reliable taxi firm. The price quoted is for 4 people using the double bed and 2 single beds. If the additional airbed is required there is an extra cost of £25 per night. In the twin bedroom there is a wide selection of children's books and a few toys. Both bedrooms have a television. The sitting room has a selection of jigsaws, games, books and dvds.
