1920’s Railway Cottage - Queen Bed Step back in the past and stay in this comfortable & friendly 3 bedrom 1920,s railway cottage to be shared with guests of all nationalities. Shared kitchen & bathroom. Television in your room. Large out door area, with pool. Close to shops & bus stop, We are presently improving the house, but try not to inconvenience our guests. Vehicles going up & down the road can sometimes be a bit noisy. Please do not expect a palace. Hugh fenced backyard to sit back & relax, or if there are children let them run off steam. You are welcome to use the kitchen, dining room, lounge & laundry. Drier available for a small charge. The communal areas available to guests include lounge, dining room, kitchen, laundry & backyard. There is a lock box at the front door where we will give you the code if we are not here on arrival or departure. We would love to interact with guests and answer any questions you may have to make your holiday in NZ enjoyable. 3 minutes walk up the road is a fabulous takeaways who also does Chinese meals. The main shopping area is 15 minutes (walk) from our house & worth looking at. Huntly is a great place to base yourself as we are central to all activities. 10 minute drive to one of our popular walking tracks & one of Huntly’s lakes, the other lake only 5 minute walk. Both lakes are 3.5km to walk around. Visit the local museum & learn about the old mining Huntly was. Catch the train to Glen Afton (trains run every 1st Sunday of the month). 20 min drive to Hamilton shopping mall. 30 minutes to the Hamilton Zoo & Classic Car museum. 1 hr drive to Auckland Airport, Raglan, Waihi, Waitomo Caves & Bridal Valley Falls. 2 hr drive to Rotorua & Mt Maunganui, Hot Water Beach & Cathedral Cove. Plenty of walking tracks. Public transport available, walking distance to shops, easy flat walking. If I am not working I am quite happy to drive you for a small fee. There are plenty of walking tracks, lakes & other activities in the Waikato. We ask that no meals are eaten in your bedroom (snacks are fine). No pets are allowed.
