A Night in Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary: Cabin 2
Sleep in a comfortable cabin in the Australian bush in a wildlife sanctuary with kangaroos, emus, and all of their iconic Australian animal friends - koalas, possums, wombats, flying foxes, Tasmanian devils, dingoes, bilbies, turtles, cockatoos. Some are in natural camps, while many are free-ranging and may even visit your cabin, so don't forget to close the door when you go for a bush walk. Your cabin is a single open studio plus ensuite. Please keep this and the bed configuration in mind when you are booking with friends. We don't recommend more than 2 adults sharing, whereas the space works well for a family with two young children. But you will be staying in the Australian bush so supervising young children (for their safety and the happiness of the animals) is imperative. You have full access to the wildlife sanctuary overnight and all day on the second day of your stay. Please follow all the rangers' instructions as you do share the space with the wildlife that lives in the sanctuary. Your hosts live on site, so can be reached anytime day or night. Plus, as you will be staying in a real working wildlife sanctuary, the rangers who look after the animals are always there to help during the day. With a souvenir shop and kiosk-style cafe from 11am to 3pm, you can easily stock up on supplies. Your "neighbourhood" is the Australian bush. The sanctuary gates are locked from 5pm to 8am so, like the movie "a night at the museum", you get to stay inside and watch as the bush comes alive after dark. Bring your flashlight, and easy to prepare meals and snacks, and settle in for an Aussie bush adventure. Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary is a destination in itself. Your neighbours are the wild critters that live in the Australian bush. You will need your own car to get here, and to bring your own supplies, as there is no public transport.
