The Bunya Room has uninterrupted views of Mount Warning as well as the Tweed Valley right from your bed. Both bedrooms have mattress protectors, electric blankets, mattress toppers, room heaters, ceiling fans, TV/DVD, insect screens & bed lamp. Continental Breakfast is provided & Kitchen is available if you choose to cook NB. Please read House Rules. Bunya House is split level. You can relax on one of our 4 covered decks or in either of our air conditioned living areas. Luxuriate in a hot bath while being captivated by the views, explore our terrace walk (a work in progress) or wander the bushland that surrounds our home. We are not wanting to create a designer home at Bunya Bunya House. Our home was built in 1990, is well maintained & is mostly original. We offer a warm, inviting space filled with many family heirlooms, some 100 years old. We have antiques & collectables gathered over a lifetime, all of which hold fond & lasting memories. We are more than happy to share some of those memories with the inquisitive guests. Musically inclined? We have a Piano, Guitar, multiple Ukeleles, Dulcimer Stick, Chanter & Penny Whistle. Please feel free to enjoy our Music Nook & play any or all if you wish. Our aim is for guests to be able to pick fresh herbs, fruit, vegetables & salad greens to enjoy during their visit to Bunya Bunya House. We constantly work on developing our gardens. If you are looking for a secluded break in the beautiful Wollumbin Caldera then Bunya Bunya House is the place for you. N.B. Captivating views can come with a price. There is a steep sealed driveway for your vehicles to climb before reaching the carport next to our home however rewards await. GENERAL INFORMATION Bunya Bunya House is cradled on over 5 acres of land. We own the highest block in beautiful village of Uki, NSW. Funky markets, eclectic shops & a selection of trendy cafes are very close at hand. The highly reputed Mavis's Kitchen Restaurant is also just minutes away on Mt Warning Road as is the delightful Rainforest Cafe where you can simply relax by the river enjoying sumptuous treats. Lake Clarrie Hall is also only minutes away. It provides public recreation including swimming, sailing, boating and freshwater fishing & also sports fishing for Australian bass. Lake Clarrie Hall has been stocked with more than 358,000 Australian bass fingerlings over the past 10 years. A fishing licence is required to fish in the lake. Bunya Bunya House is a gateway to World Heritage National Parks. Surrounded by Mt Jerusalem, Wollumbin & Mooball you will also find Nightcap, Mebbin, Border Ranges & Lamington are all in close proximity. All common spaces in our split level home are available for guests use. I will leave this to you. Am available most of the time should any questions arise. Also happy to socialise with guests or if you prefer your space then that is also fine. Beautiful village atmosphere in Uki where the mountains touch the sky. Bunya Bunya House is just 35 min drive from Gold Coast International Airport & 40 minutes from Byron Bay.  This stunning secluded paradise is located 15 minute drive from the famous Tweed Art Gallery & Murwillumbah. You can be on world class beaches in just 30 minutes. Easiest to have your own vehicle to explore this area. There is no public transport close to the home & it is located atop a steep hill. HOUSE RULES Guests MUST have Air B & B Government ID approval, current profile pic & complete profiles when sending booking requests please. Eating & drinking is not permitted in the bedrooms. Prefer :- No shoes to be worn indoors & smoking to ONLY be outdoors a distance from the home if possible. Kitchen is available most of the time but please clean up, rinse & stack dirty items in our dishwasher ready to be washed. Damp towels unfortunately damage our antique & vintage furniture & we insist that they are not left in your room. Fresh towels are available for every shower or bath & we ask that used ones are placed in our laundry. ONLY registered house guests are allowed on the property.  CHECK IN from 2 to 7pm. CHECK OUT by 10am. Quiet Hours are 10pm to 7am. When you send through a booking request please add the CODE WORD:- "RASTUS" to your communication to confirm all of the above has been read, agreed & that you are dog friendly. Rastus is a companion & rescue dog. He is mostly indoors & a prized part of the furniture. Please be aware that we highly value our guests but never at his expense.
