Local club with restaurant is 300m away. 15 minute drive to major Canberra attractions eg: Parliament House, Galleries, Museums and War Memorial. Excellent access from all directions to our location, including Canberra airport just 15 minutes away. Guests have the complete use of our downstairs apartment including bathroom/laundry, toilet and private lounge room, which includes bench space with electric jug, fridge, microwave and sandwich press. Queen size bedroom with built in wardrobe which includes clothes hanging space. Clothes washing & ironing facilities also available. We are available if required via upstairs front door, email, text or phone call. Queanbeyan is a large country town with city amenities minutes away. Canberra's attractions are within a 20 minute drive. From Queanbeyan you can access the snowfields in 2.5 hours the south coast in 1.5 hours. Local attractions include wineries, restaurants and cafes. For theatre goers 'The Q' is an intimate theatre in Queanbeyan and the Canberra theatre is a 20min drive. For sports fans there are Manuka oval, home of GWS Giants AFL and many cricket fixtures over summer including PM's 11 match. Raiders and Brumbies matches are played at GIO stadium Bruce, less than 30 mins from here. The region is home to 9 golf courses all within 30 mins. Bowling greens and tennis courts are also represented. Of course many swimming pools including the AIS are available. The nearby mountains are home to numerous trout fishing streams and lakes. Kayaking, canoeing and sailing can be undertaken on various lakes and rivers in the immediate area. Practically, the best way to get around our area is by motor vehicle. In saying that, Canberra is renowned for having an excellent network of bicycle and walking paths. Of course public transport is also available as are taxis including Uber. Rules are no smoking inside, no parties, no pets.
