West of the Ness: Beautiful Highland home
West of the Ness is a spacious period home packed full of character. Recently renovated, West of the Ness has deep rich colours and interesting details throughout; creating a destination in itself. Located in a quiet residential area, yet only a 10 minute walk from the restaurants and bars of Inverness city centre., West of the Ness is perfect for a city break or as a base for your adventures in the Highlands. Upon entering the property you are struck by the grand entrance, with high ceilings, cornice detail and a long stairway. The lovely warm living room has comfortable seating, a 55” smart TV, period fireplace (please note that the fire is not operational) and a large bay window. It leads on to the dining room, creating a huge space for your group to socialise. Double doors from the dining room lead out to the outdoor patio area and garden beyond. To the rear of the property, the newly fitted kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, offering you a home from home experience. There is also a breakfast bar and a snug area with a second TV. Upstairs there are 5 double bedrooms, all have been individually decorated adding real character to the property. Three of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms. The fourth bedroom is a small but perfectly formed double on the first floor. The fifth double bedroom is located up a set of steep stairs. This is a spacious room with a mature feel, it is not suitable for young children due to the steep stairs. The main bathroom is on the first floor, with a bath and shower. The driveway has parking for up to 2 cars and there is free on-street parking. We also offer a secure garage to store bikes, kayaks, golf clubs etc. The rear garden is fully enclosed, with lovely features including a sunny patio area with a large picnic table, perfect for al fresco dining. Pets are welcome and we have a cot and highchair for children. A selection of books, games, toys, Netflix and a Nintendo Wii provide entertainment for rainy days. Please note that all the bedrooms and bathrooms are upstairs, therefore this home is not suitable for those with restricted mobility. The house is also semi-detached with a family neighbouring, therefore not suitable for parties or noisy groups. None of the fireplaces are operational. You would be renting the whole property for the exclusive use of your party. Self check in, the key can be accessed through a lock box on the property. Access to the property is through a key lock box. Please note that I am renting this property on behalf of the owners. I help manage West of the Ness locally and I am available for any day to day communications. The property is located in a quiet residential area on the West side of the River Ness, set just behind Eden Court. It is a lovely 10 minute walk along the river to the city centre, with an ice cream kiosk, pubs and restaurants along the way. Distances: - 2 minute walk to a convenience store. - 3 minute walk to a pub and cafe. - 3 minute walk to Eden Court Theatre. - 4 minute walk to the River Ness. - 10 minute walk to the City Centre. - 10 minute walk to Inverness Leisure swimming pool and Inverness Botanic Gardens. - 15 minute walk to Whin Park - playpark, boating pond, picnic areas and Ness Islands miniature railway. Skate & bike park, ice rink and crazy golf also closeby. There is a driveway with space for 2 cars to park. There is also free on street parking. Inverness Train Station: 1 mile Inverness Bus Station: 1 mile Inverness Airport: 16 miles This house is not suitable for stag, hen or noisy groups. Well behaved dogs are welcome. However they should never be left in the property alone, they are also only allowed in the ground floor rooms and not on the furniture.
