It has great transport to the city but is like a Surrey village with riding stables, the open and wooded spaces of the Common. There are great shops and many excellent restaurants. Wimbledon town is on the District line, and has many overground rail links. My flat is on the 93 bus route or a £6 taxi or a ten minute walk up the hill On a direct bus route from Wimbledon tube/train station. You are 35 minutes from Waterloo in central London, door to door. The flat is on the top floor accessed by a lift. Caution is urged on the balcony.
