Enjoy this stunning and highly spacious guest suite overlooking the garden, bushland and city lights. Ideal for families with an additional small room allowing space for an extra adult or children. Just 20 minutes to the city, 5 minutes to cafes, public transport, shops and Belair National Park. A central location for visiting the wine regions, bike riding, exploring the Adelaide Hills and seeing the city. The suite is light filled, north facing and looks over the garden and bushland behind. The living room is highly spacious. Couples, singles and families love staying here. Many of my guests have stayed for 3 and 6 month stints and have become our friends. The master bedroom also looks out onto the garden. The second bedroom is small but functional. Plenty of room for games and fun in the lounge room or on the lawn if you have children. There is a small trampoline and a brand new tree house. Prices are kept low as the facility doesn't have a full kitchen. People who stay are ok with the kitchen as they enjoy the space so much. There is hot plate, microwave, BBQ and slow cooker. We share the washing machine and you are welcome to use my oven. Enjoy free Wifi, a large tv with Netflix or play the piano (though it needs tuning) You have your own drive way and entry to the guest suite. The drive way is a little steep but ok for most. BBQ Kitchenette (stove top, exhaust fan, microwave, toaster, kettle) Own driveway and entrance Continental breakfast Your stay with us can be as interactive or as private as you like. Part of the experience for us is meeting the people who come to stay. Please let me know upon arrival if you'd be interested in sharing a glass of wine or receiving a morning expresso and I'll do my best to arrange this during your stay. Also happy to assist with information about local attractions. Voted by some residents as the best street in the neighbourhood, you will encounter some beautiful glimpses of the city, hills and the sea which can be quite special, particularly at night when walking or driving down our street. Within walking distance are local cafes and restaurants, a post office, chemist, general store and bottle shop. Have a coffee and try an award-winning vanilla slice or meat pie from the 'Banana Boogie Bakery' or a gourmet salad roll at Cafe Belair. For dinner, choose from take-out or dine-in at the Belair Pizzeria, the very delicious 'Mumbai Indian' or 'House of Zen' Chinese restaurant. Pick up a bottle of wine from Belair Fine Wines, an independent and highly popular bottle shop selling an extensive range of local wines. Just a few minutes by car is the fine-dining destination of 'Windy Point Restaurant'. You will need to book in advance but it is an experience not to be missed, with incredible views across Adelaide. For more casual dining, Belair Hotel and Restaurant is only a short 4 minute drive. With an excellent restaurant, lounge and front bar. The hotel is very popular with locals and if you visit on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, you are welcome to join us at the Blackwood Ukulele Group. As a gateway to the Adelaide Hills, Belair is a popular thoroughfare for walking and bike riding. Mountain biking is also popular with nearby tracks located near the train station for a ride back up the hill. Walking and mountain bike trail maps are available on request. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday and time to recharge, visit the local yoga centre, at the top of the street and enjoy views across the hills and to the sea as you walk back to the house. In the hills its best to have a car but the train and bus route to the city is close by via a 10-15 minute walk. The walk up our street is lovely, a lot of locals choose it as a walking destination with views of the sea, setting sun and city lights. Though being on a hill - it may get your breath going! For the adventurous, you can walk from our back garden down to an old quarry (but very steep) and there are some walking tracks in Randall Park, a 10 minute walk from the house. The guest suite is located under the main living quarters and hence you can hear our family moving about. Most guests don't mind and love staying here. The second bedroom is small and would best suite a single adult or children.
