We are just half a kilometre away from the Historic Barog Railway Station and the locality is called as village Shamlech. Barog is a hill station in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The railway station lies on UNESCO World Heritage Site Kalka–Shimla Railway. Barog comes after 32 tunnels. The over-hanging pine canopy parts slightly to the sides to reveal the entrance to Tunnel No. 33 (the main attraction of this station). This is the longest straight tunnel in the railways and is 1.14 km long. Barog station is what an Indian railway station is not. It is unreal, clean, uncrowded, totally jostle-free. The woodwork is brilliant blue with a forest backdrop. The Mall Road, and other markets can be easily accessed through local buses, autos or taxies. It's hardly a 30 minutes walk to the city if one is interested. We believe that location plays a pivotal role for anyone to decide on booking a stay, hence, we have fields of vegetables and fruits and our guests are welcome to explore these areas There are a number of treks nearby for the guests who want to go for hiking and trekking. Historic Barog Railway Station (just 15 min walk), Famous Jatoli temple (about 20 mins drive), Mount Karol (about 15 min drive n then tracking up or driveup till Karol), Hill station Kasauli (about 40 mins drive) Hill station Chail (about 90 mins drive) are the other famous attractions near by. Guests usually commute via their personal vehicles or self driven rented cars or cabs. But Solan is easy to via public transport as well. Parking will not be an issue here. Guests can also try the The Historic Toy Train (Himalayan Queen) till Solan which runs on The UNESCO World Heritage Site Kalka–Shimla Railway which starts from Kalka. Travelling via train has the most scenic views of the valley and amazing long tunnels built in British era. Solan Railway Station is about 5-6 kms away from our property... Other option can be the Inter-state buses running from all across the neighbouring states like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and further North which will drop you at By pass Solan. From here you can easily reach us via taxi or auto within 10 to 15 mins. Delhi - shimla Volvos are quiet convenient... Nearest airports are at Shimla and Chandigarh. Drive from Jubbarhatti Shimla airport is around 90 mins and from Chandigarh also it's about 90 mins All meals will be charged...
