The studio apartment is a solitary, private haven set far away from the road on a mountain slope. One has to walk down 4 flights of stairs to reach the house, so it is best suited for reasonably fit people. It is ideal for those who want luxury while in the lap of nature. The kitchen has a hot plate, basic utensils, and a small fridge. Laundry and catering services are available. The Birdsong Home overlooks a mountain range where you can enjoy spectacular views from the outdoor wooden deck and dining area. Spread out over 3 acres of orange orchards, we offer free wifi and guided treks to nearby attractions. The studio apartment has a large bed and an en-suite bathroom. It has an open plan kitchen, living room and deck. The kitchen has a small fridge attached. You are welcome to cook, or order from our menu. The house is a 2 km drive from the main town of Mirik. This road is steep and broken up in parts, so its best to travel in a SUV. Mirik town is a 40-min uphill walk through a lovely green forest and village area. A large Buddhist monastery overlooks the town of Mirik, which has pine trees around a lake. The Kunchunjunga range and K2 can be seen from the town of Mirik, and there are picnic spots from where you can see the sunset over the plains. - Common lounge and yoga hall with mats and games - Outdoor dining facilities and garden - Hammocks with great views We will make sure you have the most comfortable stay possible. We are happy to arrange for guides to the local monastery and to other sights. Mirik is a quiet, peaceful town with a large lake where children and families can enjoy boating and horse riding. The momos - Tibetan steamed dumplings – in the area are famous. A large Buddhist monastery overlooks the town. We can arrange private taxis for you if you need it. Shared cars travel from the the taxi stand in Mirik to Siliguri town and Darjeeling. Our manager will be there on the ground to assist with any other queries you may have.
