This delightful, bright, neat, clean studio apartment is perfectly located no more than 200 metres from the seashore in a secure frontline apartment block, with the iconic uShaka Marine World a short walk away. It is non-sea-facing unit on the famous Marine Parade, great for running, walking, cycling or soaking up the sun. It is also close to food outlets, entertainment, shopping centre and on People Mover Bus Route. The beach area is vibrant & busy with lively tourists throughout the year. This is a studio apartment in a front line building, however the apartment is not sea facing. It is equipped with two double beds, comfortable for a maximum of four guests. Bath and shower facilities are available with basic toiletries in case of emergency! The kitchen is fully fitted with appliances, crockery and cutlery for preparing your own meals if you wish to, though, you will most probably enjoy the wide array of eating out options available. Guests have access to an apartment in a residential complex. I will be available to answer any questions regards the accommodation or guest related queries. Please do not expect help from the front desk security as they are not trained in the hospitality industry. I do not live on the premises, but, will endeavor to assist to the best of my ability. The Guest Information File in the unit is a very helpful tool. Durban beachfront is very popular for a wide range of activities like year round swimming in the warm Indian Ocean, surfing, snorkeling, paddle ski, and diving lessons. As with many tourist spots throughout the world, you need to be aware and alert and safeguard your belongings so that you are not vulnerable to criminal elements. It is best not to carry around too many valuables. Just have fun and enjoy the activities, shopping and wide variety of cuisine available. See the Guest Information Folder in the apartment for other ideas. Walking along the promenade from uSkaka to Blue Lagoon is the best way to experience the Golden Mile [7.5km]. The People Mover Bus is easily accessible on the Marine Parade and is an economical option for getting around to the different beaches along the Golden Mile, or to SunCoast for movies and restaurants. It can also be used to venture into central town. Why not experience a ride on a Ricksha Bus which basically shows off Durban life from an open top bus. This is not a hop on hop off bus. See details in apartment. Local private taxi services are also available, but, Uber is the way to go. If you have a car, there is plenty off street parking available outside the building and along the beachfront. There is no parking in the building. I can suggest airport transfer options on request. Details of local tour operators, harbour cruises and other fun activities can be found in the apartment. There are laundromats nearby. The unit is self catering and self serviced. Should you require additional cleaning service during your stay, it can be arranged with prior notice, at an additional fee. A well stocked Spar supermarket is in the close vicinity for stocking up on essentials and many restaurants and take-away food outlets are available should you not wish to prepare meals of your own. Durban is a popular tourist destination throughout the year due to its warmer climate, lovely swimming beaches and good value for money accommodation, so, it does tend to get busy with excited tourists and traffic. Psych yourself to enjoy the atmosphere with positive vibes, and, enjoy good, clean fun. As with any tourist area in the world, you need to stay vigilant and safeguard your belongings.
