Pink House | Hawkesbury River Waterfront Home
Pink House is our home on the Hawkesbury. We are excited to share it with you. It's the perfect place to pause, relax and reflect. The house is a lovingly renovated fishing shack set at the front of a deep waterfront block that backs onto the Muogamarra Nature Reserve. Great living spaces. Stunning views. Well appointed kitchen. Decks, front and back. Private jetty. River water plunge pool hot tub. Outdoor shower. Cozy fireplace. Lots of books, games & puzzles. Super fast internet and a big TV. Pink House is split into two wings by a tranquil garden void with an outdoor shower. The master bedroom opens onto both the back deck and the living room … with a view to the river through a louvered dormer window. The queen sized bed will be be set with 100% cotton sheets. The guest bedroom (also with queen sized bed set with sheets) sits across the void and looks out and up the hill to the trees. The third bedroom is a small bunk room, and is available in case you need it for the kids. Let us know if required. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need including: BOSCH induction stove top; SMEG oven; microwave; fridge with freezer; dishwasher; coffee grinder; soda water maker; quality pots, pans, knives, etc. As this is our home, the pantry is also well stocked; and you are welcome to help yourself to our oils, condiments, spices, etc. For the cooler months there is a wood burning fire place in the living room, positioned in such a way that you can see both fire and water in the same view. We will provide you with kindling and a few pieces of wood to get you started, but would ask you to BYO firewood (available from Bunnings or your local service station) if you intend to use the fireplace in any significant way. (Ditto for the hot tub mode for the plunge pool which would require you to bring along quite a lot of wood of a specific size.) Other Pink House features include: extensive native plantings, edibles for you to pick, plancha BBQ on the front deck, unique river water plunge pool, kayaks with life jackets (double and single), fishing rods (for insurance reasons you would need to bring your own tackle, hooks and bait), high speed NBN internet, big screen TV with HDMI cable connection, (Hidden by Airbnb) Home devices, Bluetooth speaker and a small office area with guest access to an iMac computer. Brooklyn is only one hour from the city by car or by train. Milsons Passage is a small (only 44 homes) and very special water access only river community. You’ll need to get to Pink House BY BOAT, and you’ll need to bring everything you need for your stay. Think Schitt's Creek on the Hawkesbury River. The only way to get to our place is by boat. If you have your own boat you can use our jetty. Other options are the water taxi or tinnie rental out of Brooklyn. See Guest Access for details. There is a charge of $100 per stay for cleaning and linen service All properties at Milson Passage are on tank water which can become very scarce very quickly. We would therefore ask you to use water wisely i.e. short showers, flush sparingly, no running taps. The toilet uses a septic system, so pease do not flush any sanitary waste products. Rubbish needs to be bagged and taken away when you leave as there is no rubbish removal service at Milsons Passage. No pets please. No walking across the front of neighbouring houses. NB: Pink House has a strict NO PARTY policy. Milsons Passage is a quiet community with permanent residents. Our neighbours understand that you have come away to relax and unwind, but sound carries up and down the river, particularly at night. We would ask you to keep any music volume down, and to be very sensitive about making much noise after 8pm and any noise after 10pm.
