Lakeside Herons Nest

Our self contained upstairs flat is only a five minute walk to Takaka Township where you can enjoy cafes, art galleries, locally owned clothing and giftware stores to name a few. The kitchen is equipped for cooking if you feel like staying in. We welcome all guests from all backgrounds. Nestled amongst a large protected tree and backed on to the towns Lake Killarney Reserve. Our home is very central to the many out door attractions Golden Bay has to offer, including only 10-15 minute drive to our beautiful beaches. Separate Stairway access, guests have full use of private unit. Equipped with linen/towels and spare blankets. Off street parking is also available. We may not always be available to greet you, but upon booking we will send you details of key location and address etc. We will be available by phone if you need anything, but generally leave you to enjoy your stay without interuption. We provide a small amount of tea/coffee and milk. Please feel free to use the cooking facilites, although there are lovely dining venues just a few minutes walk away. Enjoy a walk around the lake to feed the ducks or a quiet picnic. We do own a lovely black lab/collie cross dog. She is still young and may give a quick bark on arrival but she is just exited to see you and always ready for a pat.
