A luxury lounge area featuring Red Cedar panelling, Tulip Oak feature beams, Brush Box polished floors and six metre ceiling, opens onto a well equipped kitchen and eighteen metre viewing deck. A sunbathing terrace, complete with reclining chairs and al fresco shower is discretely located in tropical gardens. Located only 90 minutes from Cairns and our international airport, 40 minutes from the holiday playground of Port Douglas and five minutes from Daintree Village, Cloud 9 private retreat is ideally situated as a base for regional exploring while enjoying natural surroundings and an atmosphere of peace, tranquillity and total privacy. Catering primarily to holiday travelers we also welcome small informal corporate gatherings, girls only getaway weekends and loving couples. Built in 1995-99 by your host Cloud 9 features tropical timbers from local rain-forest and spectacular views. Cloud 9 is totally yours to enjoy, your group will be the only guests in house and your host occupies separate quarters. Peace, tranquility and the utmost privacy are guaranteed. Cloud 9 has a consistent policy of sole occupancy ensuring your party of complete privacy and freedom from other guests. Your host does live onsite on a lower floor, invisible to house guests. The Daintree region has much to offer the amateur historian, tropical fisherman, birdwatcher, 4wd enthusiast, botanist and general traveller. The Daintree Rainforest is easily accessed only 15 minutes drive from Cloud 9, the Great Barrier reef lies directly off the coastline and natural wonders abound at every turn. Situated only 2km from Daintree village, Cloud 9 takes you high above the Daintree valley to enjoy the most spectacular views of any exclusive retreat in the area. 2wd vehicles are capable for general touring in our region. Under cover parking is available to all guests. Inhouse activity. As a lifelong woodturner and tutor your host offers guests a chance to try their hand at this exciting craft. A two hour introductory course with all materials and equipment costs only $150. Advanced tuition is also available by arrangement. Guests are advised that 2WD vehicles are not appropriate for the 400m climb to your exclusive retreat. For guests without a 4WD your host will be available at all times to make this simple transfer.
