Ataahua is a 10.8 hectare lifestyle block, which is used for grazing dairy cows and calves. It is quiet and peaceful which is ideal for a holiday or a break away from the city. Ducks and Pūkeko also roam the block. Out front on the neighbouring farm are geese and sometimes sheep and cattle. The best part about staying in the cottage is the fantastic rural views. The cottage is fully furnished to a good standard with a spacious open plan living area and two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, wardrobe, a bedside cabinet and bedside lights. The second bedroom has two single beds, a bedside cabinet. The cottage it is well insulated, with double glazing, and heatpump, making it lovely and warm – perfect for the ski season. The base price is based on one or two guests using the queen bed. If there are two singles please book 2 beds. (3 guest to enable two beds) The modern kitchen is complete with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, tub, gas hot water, toaster, frypans and pots, kettle – all you need for a relaxing break. Guest are welcome to wander around the life style block. Your hosts, Mary and Manu have their home 50 meters from the cottage and will endeavour to meet and greet you when you arrive and help with any queries that may arise during your stay. Cust is a short drive (approximately 10 minutes) where you’ll find Café & Emporium (Route 72). They have both food and gifts galore. They have evening meal specials on Friday night. Opening hours Tues to Sun from 8.30am,lunch 11.30 to 3pm. Dinner fri and sat nightsThey are closed on Monday. Oxford is 14.3 Kms from the cottage. It has a Supermarket/Postshop, Butchers Shop, Cafes, Hairdressers, Chemist, 2 Garages, Hotel, Craft Shops, Library, Art Gallery, Museum, and a Workingmans Club/RSA. There are 2 parks and a Public Swimming. If you are around between 9.00am and 12.00 on Sundays there is a Farmers Market in the centre of town. There is an 18 hole Golf Club 12 minutes from Oxford on the corner of Depot and Thongcaster Road. Green fees are $30.00 per player There is no public transport a car is essential.
