Ms. Evelyn's at Mile End - stylish heritage home
For more than one hundred years, Ms. Evelyn’s has stood; timeless, elegant and as beautiful as the day she was built. Her story is one of racehorses and railways, corner shops and street cricket; a story of family celebrations and memories made, and neighbours who were friends for life. Today, it’s a place to retreat; to eat and to drink, to live and to laugh, to add your own memories to the rich tapestry that is Mile End. Ms. Evelyn’s is a beautiful backdrop to fabulous Adelaide adventures. Follow us on insta at @ms_evelyns_adelaide_bnb A stylish, storied heritage home (circa 1912), with beautiful period details and lofty ceilings. Three beautiful bedrooms, one queen, one double and one single (plus trundle by arrangement) and cot. Snuggle in - you may never want to leave! Ms. E's is a stunning backdrop for your wedding photos - the perfect place to get ready for the big day, and to come back to once the dancing is done. A lovely big backyard with Evelyn's gnarled old fruit trees - when the season is right eat straight from the tree, juice dripping from your chin. Or try a G&T on the front porch in the last light of the day. Ms. Evelyn's is perfect for two, but is also well-equipped for more. Family amenities include high chair, stroller, change mat and more. Depending on the number of guests you book for, you'll have access to the whole house including our enormous backyard. The number of bedrooms made up for you will correspond to the number of guests you book for - for example, if you book for two, the beautiful queen bedroom will be open and made up for you, with the prettiest leadlight window you ever did see! Once you make your booking for the required number of guests, let us know what bedroom configuration you need. There is plenty of free off-street parking, and charging for electric vehicles can be made available. I won't be available in person, however if you need any support I'm only a phone call away! Mile End is a beautiful heritage suburb, filled with character homes and hidden gems. We love to walk around and take in the lovely old homes! It's a friendly neighbourhood, and close to great cafes, supermarkets and public transport. A short drive will have you at the beach, whether for a swim and fish and chips on the sand, or to try the fantastic restaurants of Henley Square. If you're travelling with the kids, there are three playgrounds in close walking distance, plus the wonderful Hamra Centre Library - visit for story time, rhyme time or just to hang out in the awesome kids space. If you’re driving, there is plenty of off-street parking, and we are able to accommodate charging an electric vehicle. Five minute drive to airport - great for flights, though Mile End is under the flight path so you will hear the planes. Easy access to Adelaide Oval express buses for football, cricket or live shows. Close to Adelaide Entertainment Centre; walk to Thebarton Theatre for live music. Also super easy access to public transport - less than five minute walk to bus stops on Henley Beach Road or Sir Donald Bradman Drive, which will take you straight to the city. Just a half hour drive to the beautiful Adelaide Hills, 40 minutes to the McLaren Vale wine region, and a little over an hour to the incredible food and wine of the Barossa Valley. Close to airport and interstate rail depot if you're considering one of those great Australian rail journeys, The Ghan or the Indian Pacific. The Western suburbs are under the flight path for Adelaide Airport, so you will notice the planes overhead. There generally are no flights between the hours 11pm-6am (with some exceptions, such as the Royal Flying Doctor Service).
