Private Room, 2 beds, Bronxville

This room feels like the country but is close to New York City and SLC. Short walk to the college and train. Private bath. One full size and one single bed. Now Covid ready and self-contained with Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. This is a large, sunny room with one full size bed and one single. Also a desk, dresser, hanging closet, bookshelves. Private bathroom, wifi, cable TV. We cannot provide high end luxury, but this is a comfortable, cheerful, convenient and safe place to stay. Since Covid arrived, we have added a fridge, microwave and coffee maker to the room. We no longer share our kitchen or communal spaces until the restrictions are lifted. You can still use the patio! We no longer share access to the kitchen or communal areas, although the patio is available. The level of interaction is up to the guest. We live here, are social and love to learn about our guests. On the other hand, many guests are busy and desire privacy. We will accommodate whatever you need. Bronxville is a lovely town with numerous shops, restaurants, drug stores, supermarket and a movie theater. Proximity to Sarah Lawrence gives it a college town feel. The campus is a five minute walk from the house. The area is sedate and very safe. The Metronorth train station is a five minute walk from the house. It will take you to midtown Manhattan (Grand Central Station) in 30 minutes, or north to White Plains in 14 minutes. A one way fare to Manhattan is from 6 to 10 dollars, depending on time of day. This is an old house we are gradually restoring. Yes, we know the outside still needs to be painted and kitchen overhaul will be next. The house is built on a small hill, so there are stone steps to the front door and a steeply sloping driveway. Charming but, alas, NOT disability friendly. On the plus side, we are the only house on a dead end street, so plenty of free parking.
