New River Haven Cabin w/ River View & Kayaks

Stay in this secluded getaway on the historic beautiful New River! Enjoy the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort of a cozy cabin. The cabin is riverfront and guest have access to 2 kayaks INCLUDED with booking price! Enjoy hiking/biking trails leading to beautiful mountain and river lookouts. Venture into the town of Galax and surrounding areas to experience some of the unique local viewpoints, restaurants, and festivals that make Southwest Virginia so great! Approximately 15 minutes from historic Galax, this vacation rental is very private and cozy. The river shoals can constantly be heard from the cabin. Trout and Small Mouth Bass can be caught here! It is not uncommon to see a Bald Eagle fishing the same spots! The cabin is very functional for up to 6 guest and includes a number of amenities. There are many walking trails that feature beautiful mountains, creek waterfalls, and of course the New River. Enjoy the cabin and the amazing wildlife. Guests will have full access to their cabin and much of the property. The property includes availability to hiking trails, a campfire site with grill, and 2 kayaks for floating/fishing the New River. A host will typically be available unless all employees are out of town. The cabin is very secluded. Enjoy long walks and hiking on the property as well as 2 kayaks for the river. The cabin is also within driving range to many neat restaurants and shops in Galax and Independence. Two beautiful southwest Virginia towns you must visit. Check out my guidebook to see the many places our area offers! It is also important to note the location of our cabin is not the location shown on the map below. Our property is very secluded and does not register on GPS sometimes. Once you book, look for the detailed directions that will be given to you on this page or simply contact us! Our Property is also within a community, you may see other property owners, but very unlikely. If so, don't be afraid to say hey! A vehicle is needed as the property is far from public transportation. Please read the directions to the cabin, made available after you book. GPS can be unreliable. Simply ask if you need any assistance. The road to the cabin is a gravel road. This is a rural property, weather may affect road conditions. AWD or 4WD recommend during lots of rain or snow. Once on New River Haven property feel free to explore the many roads that lead to beautiful lookouts and views. There are a few paths that are explicitly for walking, carts, four-wheelers, or side-by-sides only. These trails will either be labeled, not fully graveled, or simply to steep for vehicles. Also, many of these lots are available for sale! Please contact us if you are interested! Cell service can be hard to find depending on your carrier. The cabin has a standard coffee maker. There is also a jacuzzi tub in each bathroom. If you choose to use our kayaks, you must have a life jacket with you on the water. It is required by state law. You kayak at your own risk. We also ask that you respect our property/cabin and leave things how you found them. Other owners are allowed to share common area. We provide a limited amount of Toilet Paper. If you plan on staying awhile, please bring extra. The cabin sits on a hill, out of the flood plain, but view of shoals is tremendous. Thanks!
