Fyrish Retreat Ideal For Great Highland Adventures

Located centrally in the village of Evanton, close to a shop, post office & restaurant/pub, the property is on the doorstep of the award winning Evanton Woods. On the top floor, away from the rest of the house, there are two brand new renovated bedrooms, complete with kitchenette. On the floor below is a modern shower room, for guests only, with his & her sinks. Tucked away just off the NC500, it is the perfect spot to explore The Highlands. A modern and tidy 2 bedroom let within our family home, located in the peaceful village of Evanton Ross-shire. The bedrooms are on a floor of their own, separated by a landing area complete with a kitchenette containing a fridge, small freezer, toaster and microwave. Both rooms feature a double bed, a big screen television, lockable doors (internally & externally), views of the Black Isle, with a wardrobe in one and armchair in the other. On the floor below the bedrooms, for sole use by guests, is a shower room, with walk-in-shower, double sinks and a toilet. There is a travel cot available should you require it for one of the rooms. You will get a set of keys for the front door and the bedroom and may come and go as you please. There is plenty of car parking available across the street. My husband and I live in the house with our four young children. They now generally all sleep really well throughout the night, but there is always the possibility that they may wake. They sleep in the West wing of the property and so any disturbance should be kept to a minimum. Please feel free to bring young ones with you as we are completely family friendly and any disruptive nights they may cause would be nothing new to us! We also have a large, loveable, over-friendly dog: an Italian Spinone. She will be kept in parts of the house away from the guest areas and will only get to meet you if you would like to. One of us will almost always be on the property should you need anything, but will also provide a mobile number and email address should you need anything if we’re not there. Our home is located in Evanton,Scotland,United Kingdom. The friendly village has a Co-op grocery store; post office; a hairdressers; and the Novar Arms pub, with pool table, dartboard, tv showing sport, and an adjoining restaurant.The Storehouse restaurant, perfectly located on the bank of the Cromarty Firth, less than 5 minutes away on the drive into Evanton, offers the perfect dining experience for everything from a relaxing coffee and cake to a full course meal with all the trimmings. They also have a rather lovely gift shop with local produce and craft work.Evanton community woods, twice winners of Scotland’s Best Woods award, is on our doorstep, home to the Black Rock Gorge (used in filming Harry Potter). There is also a small beach close by. The Fyrish hill and monument, dating back centuries, are easily accessible for the intrepid walker, with two further, smaller monuments hidden in the hills if you fancy challenging yourself to find them. Evanton is 24 kilometres north of the city of Inverness, some 6.5 km south-west of Alness, and 10 km north-east of Dingwall. The Ben Wyvis mountain and plenty of whisky distilleries, golf courses and fishing spots can all be found in the surrounding area. It’s an ideal base for exploring the highlands and the NC500 route.
