Looking South across the wide valley our home-from-home is waiting to welcome you. Our superb, comfortable self-contained apartment - the whole top floor with its own garden at the same level and access to our forest. You can enjoy amazing views of the heart of the beautiful Upper Savinja Valley. At night the Milky Way can be observed from the garden. Accommodating up to 6 people , it is ideal for families or groups of friends. English hosts & wealth of local knowledge. We are flexible on what we provide and pricing depends on what is available seasonally and locally. We specialise in Vegetarian and Vegan dishes from around the world but try our best to source local produce - Organic (bio) wherever possible. Diane is very good with desserts and cakes, by-the-way. Between guests the apartment is given a thorough steam-cleaning. We like to feel that the apartment is of the high standard we expect for ourselves. Walking, cycling (we have some bikes to borrow FoC), fishing, skiing, the list is too long to put here. Be as active or not as you like. A car is highly recommended. We have a wealth of local knowledge and can offer tips/advice on great places to visit, things to see and do and much more. We will do (within reason) our best to make your stay one -if not the best ever. Šentjanž is an ancient (2000 years plus- we even have Celtic archeology in the forest edge behind the house and Roman artifacts in the church to be seen), quiet village with a supermarket, excellent bakery, bars and restaurants (including the best pizza restaurant in the region - not just our opinion) all nearby. We are situated in the heart of nature and have historical, cultural and natural features in abundance. Photographers and artists love the special light of the valley. Nature watchers have lots to observe - too much to list. The viewpoint at the top of our meadow - especially from the hammock, has (according to neighbours) the best views in the valley. Anglers and fishers come from all over Europe for Savinja Trout. Adrenaline sports, kayaking, skiing (in season) are all to be found nearby. If you like peace and quiet it is here in abundance also. We are approximately 1 hour from Ljubljana Airport and a car is a must if you are to see the amazing Solčavsko (EDeN Award winning) Alpine Region - just 30 - 40 minutes of leisurely driving away or to get to the best walks and hikes as well as the most interesting places. The roads -even our village lane, are kept clear of snow all winter, so getting to the skiing is easy.
