It is semi-detached with sister property Fern Lodge. Children are permitted, very small ones can be accommodated in your own travel cot in addition to the bed space, but please ask at booking. Be mindful that our place is one of peace and tranquility. One well behaved small to medium sized dog is welcome. You MUST advise at the time of booking. Additional charge of £20 payable. The Lodge is No Smoking inside, there is plenty of outside space for that. The large open plan living area is furnished with leather sofas, a wood burning stove, dining area and well equipped kitchen area with cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The end wall is a huge map of the local area, so you can easily plan your local walks. Wifi is available but do note we are a rural location, do not expect city speeds. There are two bedrooms; one with king-sized bed and French windows opening onto your private veranda with views across our lakes and on to the neighbouring racing gallops, and one with zip-link single beds which convert to king sized bed and views into the woodland copse. You can watch the birds flit about without them realising. There is a spacious shower room with massive walk in shower. You have your own outside space with outdoor furniture, a small fenced garden and veranda with BBQ for summer or winter al-fresco dining. All rooms are heated with modern electric radiators to supplement the wood burning stove. A starter basket of logs will be provided, bring your own additional logs or buy more from us at £5 per basket. There is some washing up liquid, dish washer tabs, loo roll, starter pack of milk, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper, but not necessarily enough for your whole stay. The whole of Forest Lodge is yours for your stay, with a private veranda and garden over-looking our lakes, with views of the Malvern Hills. Parking is by the lodge in our car park area. Plenty of space. You are able to access the rest of Broad Oak, to walk around the lakes and new woodland. Children to be accompanied and dogs on leads when out of Forest garden due to deep water, wildlife and livestock. Dogs must be friendly to people and other dogs. They must not be left alone in or out doors at any time. We live in the adjacent building and are generally around if you need help or have questions, but happy to leave you alone if that is what you want! The Malverns area is fantastic. It really is. If you have never been to Worcestershire or this part of it, don't miss out. Lovely pubs, walks, theatre at Great Malvern, festivals of all kinds, such as the RHS Spring Festival, Mello, the Chilli Festival, various music events - jazz, blues, folk. And scenery, yes we have that in abundance too, from the Malvern Hills themselves to the Rivers Severn, Avon, Teme and Wye (the last might be Herefordshire, but not far) and also the Cotswolds only 45 minutes away. A hidden gem, honestly and truly. Easy access from M5/M50 which links you to everywhere! 1 hour from Birmingham International Airport, 1.5 from Bristol Airport. Buses aren't great (too rural to pay), but rail links from Malvern to London, Birmingham etc, are good. Loads of walking direct from Broad Oak, and further afield in Cotswolds (45 mins) and the Welsh borders (Brecon Beacons about an hour). The fishery is open to day ticket anglers (fly-fishing so no smelly water filled with bait) Tues-Sun. Anglers won't bother you, as they too have come for peace and tranquillity and to get away from life's daily grind. The fishing is available to guests, at the usual rates. Check out our website.
