It is fully equipped for a comfortable and stress free experience. The French door of the kitchen lead out to the garden which is of a good size and very well tended and designed. Dog owners can relax in this furnished gardenspace as their pets cannot run off as it is very private and secure. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT ALLOW DOGS TO BE LEFT ALONE IN THE COTTAGE AT ANY TIME. Self contained property with garden. I keep a low profile only to respect the privacy of my visitors but I am only to pleased to meet and offer any friendly help or advice necessary. Gwaun Cae Gurwen is an old mining village set at the foot of the Brecon Beacons. The cottage is outside of the village and is privileged with fantastic views over the common and towards the Black Mountain. There are two 24 hour Tesco either side of the cottage both 4 miles distance. There is a smaller supermarket at the end of the road which is about a 15 minute walk. We have one very good restaurant/bar which is walking distance and the traditional welsh rugby club which welcomes visitors in to watch a game or just have a drink. There is a bus stop approximately 100 yards from the cottage that will offer connections to where ever you need to go. The nearest train station is Neath and the nearest airport is Cardiff. This being a fairly rural area there is a good and reliable taxi service. Having said all of that I would recommend that a car is by far the most convenient way to explore the Brecon Beacons and the Gower/West Wales coast However full central heating is included in the rental, for those who enjoy a real fire we have installed a wood burner. We supply the appropriate and efficient source of solid fuel at a reasonable cost. We request that visitors not bring their own fuel due to tight environmental regulations.
