Quiet, countryside cottage

This listing is for a large double aspect bedroom with the most wonderful morning light flooding the room and views of beautiful sunrises. There’s private bathroom next to the bedroom for the exclusive use of guests. My cottage is arranged as such that the bedroom available is upstairs, above the kitchen and dining room but the rest of the rooms are for private use with the other bedrooms at the far end of the property. I will need access to the kitchen but this will be our only shared space. This is a very quiet location and household so guests must please be respectful of this. If you’re looking for a peaceful, rural retreat then this is the place for you. There is parking available on the private driveway but this is shared by neighbours so please park where allocated. The village is roughly a mile away with a lovely pub who do amazing food. The nearest railway station is a 5 minute drive away and it has a line going to London. High Hurstwood is a small rural village on the outskirts of The Ashdown Forest. It's quiet with plenty of countryside walking and a fabulous pub right by the village green. Ideally you need a car or at least a bike or be very keen walkers. The nearest station (Buxted) is only a 5 minute drive away but the walk there is along the road or through fields. Parking is available at the property. Just a stone’s throw away is the Ashdown Forest, this area is wonderful for walking and cycling. There are also a handful of local “attractions” like Sheffield Park, The Bluebell Railway, East Sussex Golf Club, Batemans House and a number of castles and priories. The picturesque county town of Lewes is just 20 minutes in the car.
