A stair will drive you at sea level where you will enjoy the access to sea, shower and sunbathing areas that are reserved to the building guests. Large living room with 4 moresco's arch windows, sleeping room with one double bed, second room with double or 2 single beds, kitchen with fireplace and two bathrooms. Fresh & windy also on hot season, perfect start for Salento area tours. In every room of our 135 mq apartment, on the second floor, you can enjoy the music of the waves and the mesmerising view. The windows are right over the cliffs and will allow you to take in the whole horizon: to the east and west side you will see the beautiful Salento's coast and in the middle the clear waters of the Mediterranean sea, on the other side of which you will be able to see the mountains of Albania in the clearest days. In this beautiful set you will see the sky and the see turn orange and red in wonderful sunsets and in the darkness of the night the moon's rays will sneak into the rooms. Please enjoy a typical Italian style "aperitivo" or candle light dinner in the soft lights of the living room, surrounded by the sea. The perfumes, sounds and view of the Mediterranean make this spot unique surrounded by old traditions and new emotions, the greek and latin culture, the east and west. A washing machine, microwave, TV 48'' and an Italian style coffee machine will be available for the guests. We have a local network and an emergency contact just in case. Information on the nearby parking and passes for long term stays are also available. Santa Cesarea is one of the oldest thermal spots over the sea of Salento. The historical centre, in which you will find the apartment, was built between '800 and '900 with the typical Arabic architecture of that time, for example villa Sticchi and other noble houses. The town is on the coast between Otranto and Castro Marina, on a highland right above the sea. Sulphur water comes out of the four natural caves and is used in the historical thermal treatment areas with a SPA and a heated sulphur pool open from April to October. While strolling along the promenade you can stop in several local shops, restaurants and bars. Otranto and the beaches close by are roughly 20 Km away. Following the costal road on the south side you will discover many beautiful inlets and coves and reach Leuca, the point of the heel. The first town that you will encounter (after only 5 Km) is Castro, the pearl of Salento. If you don't have a car and don't want to rent one, you can reach Santa Cesarea with the train, Trenitalia line to Lecce (50 Km) or Ferrovie del Sud-Est line to Poggiardo (10 Km) or Maglie (20 Km). If you arrive with a flight you can land in Brindisi (80 Km). Lecce and the close by towns (Castro, Poggiardo, Otranto, Santa Maria di Leuca) are connected to Santa Cesarea with the Salento-in-bus service. You can find the timetable on the website of the provincia di lecce, or googling for "salento in bus" service. As an alternative we are available to book a private transfer in advance. The perfect spot to enjoy Salento with the relax given by the exclusive setting. Great location to enjoy boat rides, tours, visits in the famous towns nearby (Otranto with its castle is only 20 Km away and Lecce is an architectural beauty to enjoy also by night) and visit some of the popular country fairs nearby. You will be able to pick you perfect sea day: great cliffs ( extremely close there is the natural pool of Porto Badisco, also close are porto Miggiano and Castro), amazing sand beaches towards laghi Alimini or Jonio (there is a bus service availabe in the summer). There are several boat rides leaving from Castro, Otranto and Gallipoli.
