Our apartment will be convenient for those who look for an authentic ambiance yet cool and relaxing atmosphere in one of the nicest and typicals neighbourhoods of Lisbon for locals – Campolide/Amoreiras: heart of Lisbon city but not in the heart of the Historic Centre. Breakfast not included DOUBLE ROOM WITH EXTERNAL PRIVATE BATHROOM The Double Guest Room, decorated in a pop art style (a tribute to Roy Lichtenstein) has direct access onto the patio and proposes one double bed (1.40 x 2.00), TV and free Wi-Fi. Guest have access to an external private bathroom (constructed in Portuguese marble) that includes shower and full size bath. The standart price includes only 1 double bed room (either for 1 or 2 persons). If you are two persons that want to sleep in 2 separated rooms, you must book the secound room addicionaly, for 3 persons. The secound Double Room is only be rent for the same guests and must be booked addicionaly. Breakfast not included GUEST ACCESS You have access to all the apart and may also take advantage of the fully furnished private patio where you can rest, read a book or enjoy a beverage. For supplies, guests will find a mini-market or supermarket at a 2-minutes walk and several typical restaurants located in the neighbourhood. OVERVIEW Set in a renovated historic building of Lisbon’s early twentieth century, our apartment is situated in the typical district of Campolide at only 5 minutes walk from the upscale Amoreiras area (shopping center Amoreiras). This neighbourhood is not a touristic neighbourhood, but is one of the most enjoyable places to leave in Lisbon as it is very picturesque and with all you need: local commerce, local restaurants, supermarkets, and is very secure and very calm during the night. Attention: our house is situated in the CENTRE of Lisbon but NOT IN THE HISTORICAL CENTRE (we are 15-20 minutes walking from Príncipe Real (the beginning of historical centre) and 15 minutes from Marquês de Pombal, the square that gives you access to all downtown (Av. da Liberdade and Baixa). You can reach the historical centre by walking or you will find in front of the Shopping Centre Amoreiras direct access by bus to the historic districts of Bairro Alto & Chiado, Castelo & Alfama and even Avenida da Liberdade, as well as the neighbourhoods of antique shops (Rua de São Bento) and Príncipe Real, all them at walking distance. Nearby our apart you will find the 18th century Aqueduct (that survived the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755); the famous Lisbon's Eduardo VII Park or the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Attention: the metro from Marques de Pombal and from Parque or Sebastião are around 1km from our house. You can explore the whole city by metro or visit Cascais/Estoril by train (at Cais-do-Sodré) and Sintra by train (at Rossio Station) • The commercial area of Chiado is around 30-minute walkaway (2,5 Km) • The lively Bairro Alto is around 29-minute walk (2,3 Km) • The Cais do Sodré Transport Hub (3,2Km) FROM THE AIRPORT From the airport you will find the 783 bus with direct acess to Shopping Centre Amoreiras (next to our house). ABOUT CAMPOLIDE NEIGHBOURHOOD Campolide is a very friendly and typical neighbourhood close to "pitoresque" local markets, groceries, restaurants, pharmacies, banks, cinema, and transports. If you prefere to take a bus, near our house you will find: Bus 751 takes you to Belém (where you can find the famous pasteis de Belém and Mosteiro dos Jerónimos) Bus 713 takes you to Basílica da Estrela and Museu Nacional Arte Antiga. Bus 758 takes you to Príncipe Real, Bairro Alto, Gloria's Elevator, Chiado and Cais do Sodré (where you will find the trains to Cascais and boats to the other side of Tagus river).
