Our cosy and warm Highland Pod is the perfect retreat for couples or a family with young children, situated on the edge of the Farm with breath taking views of the Welsh Hills by day and beautiful sunsets in the evening. Perfect for romantic getaways or an escape to the countryside. Chester Zoo is just 20 minutes away! Our pod has underfloor heating, making it perfect for getaways throughout the year. Bedding and towels included. Our pods are fully open plan and finished to the highest standard with underfloor heating. - Double bed. - Small Bunk - the beds are 66cm wide x 191cm long - (not suitable for adults) - Fully fitted bathroom with shower, sink and wc and heated towel rail. - The kitchen area has a small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, smart television with access to Netflix or Amazon Prime if you have your own account. - Complimentary wi-fi. - Gas griddle on the porch. - There's a picnic bench outside to enjoy the sweeping views down to the pond and across to the beautiful hills. - On site parking next to the pods. - Large pond in the grounds (about 100m from pods). We are perfectly placed for a trip to Chester Zoo, the historic city of Chester, Cheshire Oaks and all that Cheshire and North Wales has to offer. ***We have a second pod (The Hereford) available to rent - please get in touch if you are interested in booking both.*** Freshly Prepared Local Food delivery available on request - please get in touch with us for details. The pods have a parking area next to them and there is access to the field which sits below. Please note that there is a pond in the field which is not fenced. During the week and during working hours we are available on site and at the weekend a phone call away. The keys are in a key safe for easy check-in. Pen-y-Ffordd village is just 1/2 mile away which has a butcher, two small supermarkets and 2 pubs which both do great food or a little bit further afield is Broughton Retail Park with a large supermarket, cinema and shops. We are perfectly placed for a trip to Chester Zoo which is just 20 minutes away. The historic city of Chester, which is only 15 minutes away, is definitely worth an explore - we can highly recommend a walk around the City Walls, visiting Chester Cathedral or finding out about Chester's Roman history followed by something to eat in one of the great pubs or restaurants in Chester! If shopping is more your thing Cheshire Oaks designer outlet is only a short drive away. Clawdd Offa Farm is also the ideal base from which to explore all that North Wales has to offer - Llangollen and the North Wales beaches are only about 30 minutes away or Snowdonia and Anglesey can be reached in less than an hour and a half. We are situated on the Watt's Dyke footpath with walking directly from the doorstep. There is a railway station in Pen-y-Ffordd with trains into Wrexham, Liverpool and Chester. Our Pods are situated on a farm where we operate a marquee/events company and wedding venue. The Pods are available as part of our wedding package.
