Experience the country living on 11 acres just miles from downtown Valparaiso. Relax and unwind by taking a walk, petting the chickens or star gazing. We are 45 minutes from casinos and over an hour from Chicago, 15 minutes from the beach/ trails and train, and 5 minutes from downtown Valparaiso! A cozy stay for a business traveler, family visiting Valparaiso University or anyone looking to get away from the city.Over 4 guests $25.00 fee plus infants. ENJOY! As a guest, you and your family will enjoy the comforts of home with 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, one bathroom, eating table and four chairs, desk and chair, and a sectional. One bed has a pillow top; the other bed has a memory foam mattress. There are two small personal fans, one box fan, extra pillows, blankets, comforters, heating blanket, small heater, luggage racks and more. There are a variety of board games, books, movies, toys, Netflix, Vudu, and magazines. The refrigerator will have beverages to drink. ( pop, water, hot tea, lemonade mix, coffee, and hot chocolate). We provide late night munchies while watching tv ! Breakfast options may include one or more of the following : muffins, fruit, yogurt, english muffins, oatmeal, pop tarts or doughnuts with coffee and tea. There is a sitting area to relax and read a book or a magazine. If you don't finish your book, please take it home. A microwave, coffee maker, dishes, condiments, toaster, silverware, creamer, salt/ pepper, sweeteners and sugar are provided. Free WiFi available. There is not a kitchen in the basement. However, If you need something to be heated in the oven, I would be happy to do it. There is a carpeted staircase leading down to the basement. Well light with handrail. You and your family enter through the front door. As a guest, you have the whole basement to yourself. We share the front door access to the house. You and your family can walk on our property or sit outside on the seating area by the gas fireplace. During our boysenberry season, you can pick a bag to take home. Just ask if you want to feed or pet the chickens. Please just stay out of the barn. Check in during the week is from 4-7 pm. Weekends is from 3:30- 10 pm. Please let me know if you need to arrive later.ty Check out time is 10 am. We will greet our guests at the main entrance/ front door to the home. You will have only front door access. If you need anything, you can text or call us. We would be happy to help with your luggage. My neighborhood consists of one of three houses on 21 acres. It is very quiet and peaceful. The sky at night is amazing. You may see deer or a red fox running in the fields. There are variety of birds, rabbits, opossum and chipmunks. You can get around by car, uber drivers, rent bicycles downtown or hop the train to Chicago. I have a reference book of our favorite things to see, places to eat, and fun activities for the family! Enjoy ice skating, coffee shops,bowling, 49 Drive In, Indiana National Dunes, outdoor concerts, plays, festivals, markets and much more! Need suggestions, please ask. Many brochures on site. Lucy and Chip, the dogs, are part of the family.
