Huge, light filled penthouse in converted school in SE1. Fantastic location near Waterloo, the South Bank and Covent Garden, excellent transport links. 3 bedrooms, vast living area, large roof terrace with direct views of the London Eye, parking. With over 235sq m (2,500sq ft) of space, our apartment is a large, unique and interesting space converted from the entire top floor of a Victorian school in Southwark in SE1. The flat is furnished with a mix of new, vintage, mid century and industrial furniture. It's a great option for a family, group of friends, business trip or anyone looking for relaxing, interesting and spacious accommodation with fantastic transport links to all Central London and the South Bank has to offer. There is exclusive lift access to the apartment with a large hallway leading to a 100sq m (1,000sq ft) open plan, triple height, light filled living area with 9m long fully equipped kitchen. A separate utility room off the kitchen has a washing machine/dryer, iron, ironing board and Eufy robot vacuum cleaner. A very large kitchen/dining table/island which was originally a work table from a hat factory takes centre stage in the kitchen seating up to 16 people. The table also converts easily into a table tennis table. In the living area is a TV and Sonos speaker and plenty of seating on three giant black leather chesterfields. A selection of board games is available, along with magazines, books and a particularly large collection of cookery books! The kitchen has a 90cm electric oven, 90cm 5 ring gas hob, microwave, large fridge, 2 undercounter freezers, Kitchen Aid mixer, Nutri Ninja blender, Philips juicer, kettle, Duralit toaster and Breville sandwich toaster. On this floor, there is also a guest toilet and a lower mezzanine work area. Taking the rainbow stairs leads to the bedrooms and the 40sq m roof terrace. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms: - double with king size bed, en-suite bathroom and Peloton; - double/twin with superking size bed, which splits into two singles if required; - double bedroom with standard double The latter two bedrooms share a bathroom. All bedrooms have clothes storage and a Sonos speaker. Both bathrooms have a bath and shower. All the bedrooms have doors to the terrace. From here, there are incredible views of all the major London landmarks, particularly the London Eye, which is directly ahead and St Paul's to the right, and The Shard from the other side. You can even hear Big Ben! The terrace is safe and private with wooden slatted screens and gets sun all afternoon. There is excellent 5G WiFi through the apartment. The flat is situated in a gated development with entryphone access and secure parking. Guests will have full and exclusive use of the property. We will welcome guests and show them around the property and the surrounding area with advice on where to visit and what's on. We are usually fairly close by so are on hand for any advice and help during their stay. The apartment is situated in a quiet and safe residential neighbourhood yet is extremely close to a vast array of London attractions including: - Big Ben - Bermondsey Street Antiques Market - Borough Market - Buckingham Palace - Covent Garden - Houses of Parliament - Imperial War Museum - Lambeth Palace - London Aquarium - London Eye - Millennium Bridge - National Theatre - Oxford Circus - Piccadilly Circus - Royal Academy of Arts - Royal Festival Hall - Royal Opera House - St Paul's Cathedral - South Bank - St James’s Park - Tate Modern - Tate Britain - The Old Vic - Tower Bridge - Tower of London - Trafalgar Square - West End Theatres There are several parks close by with various sporting and recreational facilities including tennis courts, football, cricket nets, etc. We have a huge range of bars, pubs, cafes, restaurants, food markets and street food options within easy walking distance. The apartment is exceptionally well connected with a wide range of public and private transport options. Lambeth North and Waterloo stations are very close by, served by the Bakerloo, Northern, Jubilee and Waterloo and City lines. Key bus routes in and out of the City and West End are on the doorstep. All the major airports are within easy reach and the South East of England is served by overground trains from Waterloo and and London Bridge. Several major car hire companies have branches at Waterloo. We have a bus stop right outside the building, a bank of Santander Bike Hire docking stations immediately opposite and various other e-bike and scooter hire options . A network of segregated bike routes runs from just around the corner. There are black cabs passing regularly too.
