Well appointed beautifully renovated 4-bed house on outskirts of Dorking, backing into National Trust ancient woodland. A fantastic spot for friends/families or simply visiting this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - close to London & Gatwick. Generous spaces create an airy experience with beautiful views from bedrooms either into the woodland or across to the North Downs. Within minutes you can explore the hilly woodland culminating in views across to Leith Hill. The house is an old property which has been recently renovated to a high specification and you will find everything you need. Alongside the 2 double ensuite bedrooms (Bedroom 4 is a fantastic loft conversion) there is an older child's bunk bed room with space to also accommodate a fold out single bed if required. This configuration could also be set up in the cot bed room. The space boasts a large private driveway to fit 3 cars, where parking is at a premium in Dorking. There is electric hook up for electric vehicles and all the usual kit expected for a baby/toddler. We will be away during your stay, but we will make sure you have everything you need for your stay in advance. From the door, you can explore the North Downs Way, Leith Hill and Box Hill (to name just a few beauty spots) by foot, mountain biking, road biking, trail running, horse riding. We are sports enthusiasts and avid mountain bikers and can share with you local off the beaten path routes and trails to help you uncover the best kept secrets of the Surrey Hills. Whether you like sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, outdoor swimming, this can be enjoyed at nearby Mercers or Betchworth Lake. Dorking is a charming old market town with shops and restaurants and a large Waitrose which you can access via foot within 10 minutes. The town has a cinema, swimming pool, gym, sports centre and recently renovated fantastic playground with skate park and brand new soft play centre. For eating out, Dorking boasts Sorrel (fine dining in the Michelin Guide), a plethora of international cuisines, or maybe take a short drive to a nearby cosy pub in Shere, Coldharbour, Betchworth. Dorking boasts a unique location in being only 53 minutes by train to London (either London, Waterloo or London Bridge) but still retains real individual charm not expected in a commuter town - its best kept secret! Gatwick airport is 20 minutes drive away either on country lanes or direct by train it is 15 minutes. Heathrow is a 30-45 minutes drive. The coast is also very close by car - Brighton and Worthing are 50 mins and Littlehampton's beautiful sand dune West Beach is 1 hour. We are at an ideal convenient location for visiting Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland, Epsom Races, Ascot, Brooklands Museum to name a few.
